[OLD] Google Merchant module Version 1.12.0 by Numinix

I just had my webdesigner install this code. Can someone please give me the simple steps to use the program?

So far I uploaded a feed but only got 10 out of my 162 products to google website?

I installed the latest version of 1.12.4,

I have zencart 1.3.9h

when i press CONFIRM to process the feed products show me this error :

Running version 1.12.5 on a shared hosted environment, that times out when processing about 60,000 products, is it possible to split the list in smaller pieces and then merge the end result? Because it will be like 10 5,000 product listings, for at least 50,000, or can it be executed on a local server, and then uploaded? Has anyone tried this?

I have just gone back over the last couple pages of this thread and I see that there are a lot of unanswered questions posted by users.

This mod works very well when you take time to read the instructions. If the answer is not the instructions I can almost guarantee you that you will find the answer you seek further back in this thread.

OK this is weird been using this mod for over six months with no problems now I'm getting invalid price errors for all my products, made no changes just re uploaded the original file as the 29 days were up. zen cart v1.39h.

In a similar vain to the above post, we've just found that only 50 out of approx. 150 products are being generated by the Google Merchant Feeder. The reasoning for not adding all products is

"description length: 0 - skipped: description length less than 15 chars - failed"

Now we haven't made any changes recently to cause this problem. And up until yesterday the feed was working fine & had done so since it's been installed a few months back.

Anyone come across anything similar or have any ideas on a possible fix?

I've been one of the main contributors for this for a while and I'm just too short of time to do much. My apologies but the truth is that many of your questions can be answered by either reading back thru this thread or looking at google documentation. If you are using version 1.2.5 and have done your work in your cart like adding unique model numbers coupled with brand/manufacturers, your feeds should be fine.

If something happens all of a sudden, upload a freshly exported feed to see if that corrects the problem.

Google still may working its way thru the feeds to bring everyone up to the September changes - changes in your feed acceptance may be due to this.

Daily uploads of feeds is best - that can be automated folks and should be. Keeps your products fresh and limits the percentage of errors found by google. Percentages are the key sometimes. One day you have 5 missing images, next 10 and that puts you over their limits and you get suspended.

It's been months of work for me to learn all this - I do it for my customers so I had to but all the info is available and if you haven't bothered to learn anything, you need to dig in!

Frequently there's no way your questions can be answered without a thorough look at your admin and google account by the way.
