Re: Stock by Attribute v4.0 for Zen Cart 1.3.5+
Here is my link...

I am using this add on and also need to do a mass addition. Im not using it for stock, but rather the dynamic updates of the dropdown. On the page, the only things that will change are the year and the color. Every year from 1997-2004 has a different set of colors available. Anybody experience anything like this or have an idea?
I was able to do it manually for the other 3 products, but to do this would take a year! I thought using the "all" selection would work, but it does not put the attributes in the correct order in the database field, so the dropdown will not work correctly.

I've tried mixing the attributes, but get the same results. :(
Any suggestions? :frusty:
Re: Stock by Attribute v4.0 for Zen Cart 1.3.5+
I have a problem with a clients site...they have an item that a customer added to the cart today but the cart told them the item was out of stock....but in the stock by attribute area there are over 900 noted in stock..
..I have checked other products within the store and everything else is fine....so I am not sure where to look at what the problem may be....it just seems to be this one product.....
I of course have the check inventory feature turned off for now until I get this resolved , but the product is this one:
http://www.eccobella.com/index.php?m...products_id=51
Can anyone advise on this?!?!?

Have you tried syncing stock? The item in stock out of stock is controlled by the overall stock level so if that is 0 the it will be out of stock. When syncing stock it adds up the variants and sets the main stock level.
i.e
s=30
m=50
overall stock = 80
yours might be
your variant = 900
overall stock = 0
Thats all I can think of, sorry if im teaching you to suck eggs..

Re: Stock by Attribute v4.0 for Zen Cart 1.3.5+
I am new to this and I searched for a related post, but did not find one for this issue.
I have set up two attributes for a shirt as drop down lists (Size & Color) and added stock to the different combinations of shirts.
EX: Green XL = stock 5, Green L = stock 2, Green S = stock 7.
When I am on the site and I change one or both of the attributes (Drop Down Boxes), the units in stock does not change to reflect quantity in stock for that specific shirt (Size & Color).
How can I fix this so when a customer changes the drop down boxes on the products page, the Units in Stock changes accordingly?
Also, is there a way to have the picture change when a customer selects an item from a drop down box? Example: The product page is for a shirt. The Drop down box (Attribute) has colors (Blue, Red, Green). The customer select green, and the picture changes to a picture of the shirt in green.
I am using v1.3.8 and I have installed add-on Stock by Attribute.

Are you doing a full test sale or simply looking for the stock levels to change when items are added to the cart (no checkout)?? I'm sure you can guess where I'm going with this, but stock levels won't change until the customer adds the items to the cart and then checks out..
Re: Stock by Attribute v4.0 for Zen Cart 1.3.5+
Thanks for the quick reply...
What I am trying to figure out is if changing an attribute (drop down box) on the products page can change the units in stock on the products page so the customer can see how many we have in stock.
EX: I am selling Shirt X which has different attributes (two seperate drop down boxes - Color and Size). When a customer goes to the product page for Shirt X, he or she has to select color and size for shirt X. If they decide they want Shirt X color blue size Small, the units in stock should show how many Shirt X Blue Smalls I have in stock.
Is this possible?

Again stock levels will not change until the item is added to the cart AND the checkout is completed. The module does not display the number of units in stock.. You might want to look at the Attributes Grid module (which works with SBA) to achieve what you are trying to do..
Re: Stock by Attribute v4.0 for Zen Cart 1.3.5+
Thanks Diva! I'll take a look at the grid mod.
Re: Stock by Attribute v4.0 for Zen Cart 1.3.5+
Hi, I have install SBA version 1.4.9. It seem to work and subtract the quantity for the different attributes. But, the cart still allow a checkout of attribute that isn't in stock and it doesn't give an indication that a certain attribute is out of stock.
ex. Size
small = 5 in stock
medium = 5 in stock
large = 0
im still able to add the large into my shopping cart without it showing any indication that it is out of stock. It also allow it to be check out and give me a negative quantity.
Is there a way to gray out the attribute that isn't in stock or at least indicate while viewing the shopping cart? Also stop it from being able to check out "out of stock" products
