I want to work with the version 2.0 on my localhost on my MacBook using xampp. I download a fresh 2.0 version after I click the first next its saying that configure.php doesn't exist. What do I need to do first?

did you go through the install process? the installer creates the configure.php files

Maybe of the reported issues identify not being writable. Yes the first about includes/configure.php describes it's absence, but also that it may not be writable. Not seeing that you have or have not reviewed the directory, the message indicates the possibility that the file is there. You'd have to inspect and report.
Unfortunately, it looks like the logs folder isn't writable otherwise you might have some information reported there as well.
Generally speaking it looks like a system setup issue not necessarily a Zen Cart issue, though there may be those here able to help with more detail. I only know if one other user that seems to consistently use a Macintosh, though I don't know what they're up to these days. I'm sure there are others.

Well, I did found the problem. Its the xampp program. So, what I did is remove the program and download the MAMP and its install perfectly.
