German Language Pack for ZC version 1.5.x

So today we installed the latest version of Zencart (v2.1.0). New installation.

I need the german version for my shop and tried (and hoped) that this outdated version would work in the new shop, but sadly it doesn't - it is not recognised. I get the error message

MISSING LANGUAGE FILES OR DIRECTORIES ... German Deutsch

I uninstalled and reinstalled and still same issue.

I am used the Template ZCA Bootstrap-4

Is there anyone that has upgraded and using a german plugin? Or is that not possible?

It appears that there is a seperate version of Zen Cart for the German language.

Take a look at https://github.com/zencartpro and https://sourceforge.net/projects/zen...rman/?abmode=1

Member webchills has not been online for a while but might be helpful at https://www.webchills.com/ as he still shows support for the German version.

The first link you sent is sadly for an old version, infact the same old version that I currently use, which I want to move on from.

I will try and contact Webshills, appreciate the link.

Otherwise, I am going to see if we can translate ourselves, after we find which files need translating.

For admin parts that are saved in database, it is a little bit complicated but hopefully, I maintain preformated override files on Github here. You just have to change folders names from 'english' to 'german' and then translate...

Post above is helpful to make a new German language pack. But if you are just interested in ZC Bootstrap template 3.7, you can look at French language pack where there is a translation of it in 'optional_plugins/Non-Encapsulated' folder.

Good tip...

I just looked at the French translation, including the Bootstrap template... heavans above, that is ALOT of translating, no wonder there is no new german translation

But we might have no other option if I want to stay with Zen Cart...................
