Basically, one or more of the tables requires analizing and/or repairing as it's probably become corrupted. See here also:

Hi - just had the same problem today and sure enough repairing all the tables from phpmyadmin fixed things.

I've had to repair tables a couple of times before - any idea WHY this happens? Knowing the solution is ok if I'm around and I'm told about the problem quickly but when I'm on holiday it's not very handy.

I'm currently on a shared server but will be ordering a dedicated one tomorrow. I've tried to assure my client that when it's set up the site will be more reliable (especially as the hosting cost is 10x more expensive) - will this problem keep on appearing?

    Many many thanks,

    Richard

It should not have been happening on your old server with such frequency ...

When this happens frequently, your hosting site needs to fix whatever is broken on their end as it is a MySQL crash causing this ...

Every now and then this may happen ... like once in a blue moon ... but when it happens enough times to remember it ... then this is a problem your hosting site should be addressing to fix the cause ...

How many products, categories, customers do you have active on your site on average that you need a dedicated server?

They are always nice to have, but often times are not required unless you are jammin' along on your site and sales are going out the door ...

If you are getting a dedicated server for your client then I hope that you are an experienced server administrator - or that the server is fully managed for you. The cheapest dedicated servers are unmanaged, and unless you know what you are doing then owning one can be a recipe for disaster.

I got this problem, got the error message

"1030 Got error 127 from storage engine"

I repaired the tables sessions and whose online and was back up and running instantly.

After hunting a bit I found somewhat of an answer but it doesn't make sense, That there is a 4gb limit on a myisam table format. I doubt that this created a 4gb file size, the entire db is only 36mb

    interesting all the same
