Testing download - test customer?

Hi there,

I'm in the process of setting up my Zen Cart for downloadable products. I have the products loaded, attributes, set, permissions set, etc. and have green lights on all products. I would like to test the download but want to know the best way to do this.

Previously my orders were processed through PayPal and I took no personal information from my site directly. At this time I do not have an SSL certificate installed. My host provides a shared certificate. Should I install this until I can get one of my own at a later date? Do I need to have my site secure in order to run a test on the download?

So far I have set up one payment type - check or money order. Is there a way to test the download without putting in personal information? Is there a test customer option?

I'm just trying to figure out my next steps. So far I have configured the layout, added products, set up the downloads. It looks like I need to still:

Test the download;
Personalize the text on my website;
Get / Install the Shared SSL Certificate;
Install PayPal payment option.

Is there anything else that I am missing or is there a suggested sequence for these items?

No - to test you have to do exactly the same things as being live.
