Set a File Upload as Part of Checkout

I need to have a file upload as part of the checkout process. Is there some way to do this built into the cart?

It would be preferable to have the upload become available after the product has been paid for.

Can anybody help me with this?

I need to have a file upload as part of the checkout process. Is there some way to do this built into the cart?

The upload system is part of the Product's Attributes and is executed as a product is added to the shopping cart.

I am working with V1.3.0.1

I see the image upload in the add products area but I want the customer to upload a PDF or MS Word doc. Under attributes, I see no switch for turning on uploads (nor do I see it anywhere else).

Are you suggesting hacking the upload out of the Admin for customers to use in the checkout process?
