After powweb changed platforms can't login :(

Hello!
Since Powweb migrated to their new platform I could not login to my admin nor could I or anyone else login to the main Zen cart.
I have an open ticket with powweb and they have been working on my issue but nothing they do so far seems to help the issue yet.
They have tried several things but like I said no luck.
I have put soooo much work in to this cart.
I was wondering if anyone has figured out how to fix this problem yet here?

Any help MUCH APPRECIATED!

Thanks!

Re: After powweb changed platforms can't login :(

Hi Candice,

This just happened to me as well, here is the thread:

http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=40138&highlight=powweb

It was resolved today, but I will say that it was a lot of work and correspondence with people who did not have an inkling of a clue how to fix this.

The contact information for the migration people is in that thread, but I got a lot of not so good help before anyone fixed the problem (and then another part of my site was messed up so I had to call back after they fixed it).

Long story short, this person did in fact fix the cart issue:
Kevin Anderson
Technical Specialist

so if you find that things are not progressing, maybe see if you can ask directly for him. Ask him to correct the invocation of the ZenCart session starters.

make sure both of your configuration files reflect the new DB-Host information. If you log into your Cpanel and look just below the name of your database, it will tell you the new location. That won't solve the problem you are having, but it does need to be done so your db is connected.

Re: After powweb changed platforms can't login :(

I called them and they said they can't send it to one tech.. and that it probably was not even that tech that fixed your issues that it was a level 2 tech that fixed it and then this person emails you back.. I dunno :( I just want mine fixed
They said they are working hard on mine and it has been to 15 people and I know it has been worked on very hard and I do appreciate all the work they are doing. But It was fine before they migrated :( I just hope however they fixed yours is how mine can be fixed and it gets done soon.

Given the number of people who host with PowWeb and who run php based shopping carts - you are all in good company. They messed it up for large numbers of people.

Re: After powweb changed platforms can't login :(

and from what I gathered from my experience with them, is that there is really nothing you can do on your end - it is their mistake that they have to fix. Just be patient and persistent and hopefully it will be fixed soon. I also went through about 15 people before mine was fixed. The first few did not understand the problem and thought I had forgotten my password or something. Then I actually had one tell me that she was successful in log in and I should just clear my cache - it was really frustrating.

The person who finally fixed it sent me a note saying that he had corrected the invocation of the ZenCart session starters. Maybe if you mention that in an email they will have a better idea of what they should be doing to fix it. But then after he fixed it, my index page was messed up and I had to call again. So, with all that going on, I would imagine that they are swamped with people who are having problems since the migration.

My site took about 2 weeks to fix. Another person that this happened to also said it took him about 2 weeks.

I hope they get that fixed for you soon!
