Public Wishlist/Add product to favorites

A public wish list/favorites for the user? Like what amazon has - someone adds a product to their "wish list/add to favorites". The user can then send a link to anyone who want to view their wishlist/favorite product. The user can add or remove items at will.

Does anyone know if the wishlist contribution could allow public access like that?

My eventual aim (with lots of things written myself me thinks) is to allow customers to have list of products they compile while browsing which are linked to from their phpBB profiles so that any other member can look at another members phpBB profile and see their wishlist.

Any comments on this appreciated!
