Sale not applying to a certain category

I've created several sales with salemaker and have never had problems getting it to work properly. Til now.

I have a new sub category called "NEW GIFT BOXES" subcategorized under Collectibles/giftboxes. Everything else in the collectibles category is marked as "on sale" at 12% off. But I cannot for the life of me get the sale prices to show up on the "new gift boxes category". I even tried creating a sale with only that category included in it to no avail. When I go to admin/catalog/catalog.products to the collectibles section it shows that the "new gift boxes" category is marked at 12% off but when I click on the category, no sale prices appear...either in Admin OR in the store.

Whats' going on here?

I'm not sure I understand the question. All the products that are in the New Gift Boxes category are using that category id as their master category id.

What are the settings for the Category in Sale Maker?

Deduction: 12%
Products Pricerange: 0 To 0
If a product is a Special: Ignore specials price-Apply to Product Price and replace special
Start Date: 06/19/2007
End Date: 12/31/2007

None of the products in this category are specials.
