Paypal, Paypal Express Checkout

So my site is finally up and running. Hooray! And after a friend went through the process, I figured out more things to try and make it all easier. For me, I have no problem using Paypal to checkout at any online store. And so this is what I have set up. But what is the difference between Paypal and Paypal Express? Because it seems with checking out with Paypal, you also have the option to pay with CC without signing up with an account .. Is Paypal Express a good option to have for my customers?

If I were in the future to want to add CC processing, what merchant account services would any of you recommend that you have had good personal experiences with. The virtual terminal through Papyal seems like a good way since I already have a Paypal account, but personally seems expensive. Thoughts?
