Website search question

Hi,

I just recently added my site to Google and did a search of my website, https://www.thrift4kids.com, putting in just names 'Thrift 4 kids' and 'site thrift 4 kids' in the search box and the following came up:

My website goes blank when changing my tagline - Zen Cart Support - 12/26/08page title define('TITLE', 'Thrift 4 Kids!'); // Site Tagline define(' SITE_TAGLINE', 'The Art of E-Commerce');

My question is: Why does this type of info come up and not just my website name and a bit of the content I have on my main page?

Thanks!

They crawl pages and that is the reason....

Think about it - -NOBODY that shops searches for thrift4kids.com they do search for OshKosh, Boy's Clothes, Girl's Clothes, Hats, Gloves, Bibs etc etc

And why you need to use the product & category meta descriptions to full advantage and insure that your product descriptions "echo"/include your meta description terms

You want shoppers to find what you sell and by proxy your site - - it does not work the other way around as they do not search for your domain name

Notice that you are redirecting from http://thrift4kids.com/ to http://thrift4kids.com/hp_zencart/

Move your Zen Cart to the root if that is where you want it :clap:

Re: Website search question

Yep, there sure is https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=122

Its not very hard, you can easily manage this and your store will rank better without the redirect as well.

Cheers,
Melanie
