SitemapXML v.2

CSGODeimos:

Not entirely sure, I have multiple sitemaps instead of just one.. Within that sitemap directory.

I do not understand what you mean. I can not help you.

Re: SitemapXML v.2

Hi. Not sure if anyone can help at all. Using version 1.5.5a new install with upgraded DB all working nicely.

I have installed this plugin as per the instructions on 2 separate servers and cannot seem to get a site map to generate. Have set permission to 777 for the sitemap/ folder (only a htaccess file exists in folder). The only errors I get are Sitemap Index not generated: no sitemaps found (no plugins selected). When I select the plugins from the list below this and click save I get no confirmation that they have saved and they reset back to unselected. the sitemap.xml file remains empty. It installed fine both times with no errors and have reinstalled with no luck. Any advice would be welcome as I cant think what I have done wrong?

DBUG log looks like this not sure if this helps

Re: SitemapXML v.2

I am having the exact same problem as pavster007. I used the same files (changing only the admin folder name) for another Zen Cart store I have and it is working perfectly. The part that gets me is that both use the same templates, both have the same versions of everything. I am at a loss.

To review, when I go to generate a sitemap, all plug-in's are unchecked. I get the "Sitemap Index not generated: no sitemaps found (no plugins selected)". When I select plug-ins and click save, I get nothing and they do not remain checked. All permissions are set to 777 on both the sitemap file and folder. Has anyone found any answers to this?

Re: SitemapXML v.2

That did the trick. Thank you kindly Torvista!! For anyone else having this issue; this fix worked for me and I am now able to save the plug-ins as well as generate sitemaps.

Hi,

You use any seo url?

That did it.

I use Ultimate URLs. So I turned it off. Ran Sitemap and it did it. very quickly I may add. So looks like this is incompatible with Ultimate URLs. You have to turn it off. Run sitemap and then turn ultimate urls on again. :yuck:

Hi there,

I was wondering how I would go about uninstalling your plugin? My bosses web company cloned his main site and basically reuploaded it as a 2nd site, with that.. Your plugin and the sitemap from his main site. I can't seem to generate a sitemap with the plugin installed and I'm guessing that's because the SQL patch isn't installed.

How can I uninstall it, so I can then reinstall so it functions correctly :D

Thank you for this, I uninstalled it and reinstalled it correctly!
When it comes to setting up the parameters, I'm not 100% sure what to change/do. Any advice?

Can someone explain why this is happening? Ever since "upgrading", this has been happening.

Re: SitemapXML v.2

Absolutely brilliant plugin! Thank you very much for your time and effort with this. A great tidy solution integrated nicely into zen cart admin with cron support.

Installed it, ran the reindex and and well within one hour my sites on the first page of a google search under a specific keyword search.

I have always been on page three or four for the same specific search terms for ages.

Btw, is there any recommended specific fine tuning you'd recommend for a site that is graphic image heavy? At the moment I have left everything at default configuration settings for the first test.

I was previously using a paid standalone version of xml-sitemaps which was very unstable when it reindexed for changes and hadnt been updated for a few years.

Thanks once again.

Do not overestimate the importance of a site map. Google does not always follow the instructions of the site map. And well relink shop is quite possible to do without a site map.
