cannot see the site and the admin - using PHP 5.3

Hi,

I'm not a computer expert and after I've finished the installation of zencart I cannot see the homepage of the site and the admin area.

I have a windows pc and I've installed xampp creating a msql database with password.

When i try to see the shop i get a white page following this link http://localhost/zen-cart/index.php

And when i try to see the admin area i get a long page following this link http://localhost/zen-cart/admin/index.php I get numerous time these lines:

and this fatal error at the end

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare date_diff() in C:\Users\Luca\Documents\Desktop\xampp\htdocs\zen-cart\admin\includes\functions\general.php on line 3001

Can somebody help please?

A little late - First I think you had a type-O and are using wamp as a local testing server - If this is the case one can download different (PhP versions) and install them as per instructions - Then one can select what version to use from the wamp php menu under the version tab.

On my original install of wamp it installed PhP ver 3? and zencart would not load with out installing the PhP ver 3 patch "I suspect the link in the above post will lead you the patch" anyways at that time I was unaware of the available patch and downloaded an older ver of php 5.2.0 from the wamp home site then installed, and selected that ver in the wamp menu.

:clap: Okay I just used this fix per your message post above and it worked fine. Only a 2 minute cut and paste in the correct area and the problem was fixed. Thanks so much team.

im still getting the errors after the patch :(

... then you didn't apply the patch correctly or completely.

isn it a simple case of upload and letting it overwrite the individual files? or should i do it by folder?
