Moved from linux to windows...

I have a working site in linux but my client wants to move to windows server with iis.

I have configured the sites to match (relative paths).

I opened my...
/includes/configure.php
/admin/includes/configure.php

Changed FS paths..

define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', 'd:\domain.com\html\zencart');

when I pull up the site - I get a blank screen.

any ideas? I changed the DB info to match.

I know the / vs \ in linux vs windows matters.

thanks in advance.

Re: Moved from linux to windows...

No - because I didn't install this originally, so I don't have the install files. I also know he installed several mods to which I don't have the files. This is an older version...

Seems like zencart isn't too portable. When I write applications, I create a redeploy.php that updates the essentials of what the app needs?

No - because I didn't install this originally, so I don't have the install files. They can all be quickly and easily downloaded from SourceForge. The link to the current version is on the home page of https://www.zen-cart.com, and older versions can be navigated to from that page.

ROFLMAO!!!!!
Two configure.php files to update paths in.

But, since you're sitting around trying to guess the right paths and settings for the new server you're moving to, it's WAY FASTER to just do a quick clean fresh new install and let Zen Cart BUILD the correct configure.php file settings for your new server FOR YOU. That takes all the guesswork out of it, which sounds like would be a welcome benefit in your case.

Re: Moved from linux to windows...

I'll give that a shot. I pulled phpinfo() and used the absolute path from that - figured that would work. Not really guessing. I'm also not sitting around, I work from fort lauderdale, I'm down at the beach under a cabana! :) Thanks for your help!

errr.... Why? Is he getting too many sales or something and needs to take the site down every few days for a reboot in order to slow it down a bit?

Seriously, I can't think of any benefit from making such a change ... only lots of potential problems.

Cheers
