Paypal not showing totals until after customer fills up paymet info

Hi guys, why customers are not able to see the totals until after they give and submit all the payment information? how can I change that? I know paypal puts a note that says:"you will still be able to modify your cart before payment is confirmed" but I can say for experience, customers hate when shops don't show the totals before obtaining their payment info. I don't have time to loose, and know most of customers are like that nowadays. Please help me! I have paypal as my only payment module right now and a don't want to piss off my clients! :dontgetit

If your customer logs in first, then shipping will calculate.
Until the customer gives you address info, shipping and taxes can't be magically guessed!

Thank you Dr. Byte for answering my inquiry. But in my case:

• I have a flat shipping rate, so PayPal does not need to calculate anything based on their address.
• PP is asking not only address and name or email but to submit their entire credit card information before showing totals.
• I have the tax already included in the item's displayed price.
• I don't have a payment gateway, but work only with this third parties, and clients shouldn't need to sign up twice, in fact, they shouldn't be obliged to submit their credit card before knowing how much they are paying
• Had used Paypal Standard (I know, antiquated) for 5 years (before I didn't have ZenCart), but encounter this issue only when I use paypal Express.

One of the main goals in my store is to present a clear, upfront and smooth checkout, I am still new to ZC (love it!) and I wonder if maybe there is something I can configure there? or is it possible to provide the same upfront checkout that PPWP Standard has, by using PP express checkout?

Yes. If your customers create an account in your store and then commence checkout using the regular "checkout" button, and not the Express Checkout button, they will experience the same "feel" as with WPStandard.
You can disable the Express Checkout button via a setting in your store's admin EC settings screen.
