Newsletter Subscribe on Order Confirmation Page

Has anyone seen a mod to add a newsletter subscribe checkbox on the order confirmation page?

After customers create an account they never go back and sign up to newsletters.
I would like to remind them, whenever they place an order to signup.

Because of just that, I make subscribed to the newsletter (#2) a default in Admin > Customer details:

Show Newsletter Checkbox

0= off
1= Display Unchecked
2= Display Checked

Note: Defaulting this to accepted may be in violation of certain regulations for your state or country.

In reality, when a customer doesn't want to be on a list they most always will just reply back a "no thank you".

Here in Australia its against the law to do that, unfortunately!

Which is why I want to remind them with each order they place to subscribe.
