Urgent! Old customer order data lost!

Hi basically I just took over the ecommerce site from another owner and I am new to this.
We changed the paypal account at the site. And all the customer order data disappear while all customer details are here. Did the paypal change cause this? Can I access the old data by switching back the old paypal?

Changing which PayPal credentials are used for taking payments will not delete all your order history.

There's no built-in way to delete all order-history, short of manually clicking on each order and choosing Delete ... one-by-one. Same with customers, products, etc.
So, unless you did that, or wiped the store by replacing the entire database contents, the data should still be there.

You should be able to confirm that the data is present by looking in the database using your hosting company's phpMyAdmin tool to look at the "order", "orders_products", "orders_status_history" etc tables.

No it is historical store data only

I refer you to DrByte's post - so if you are missing historical order data quickly grab database backups prior to this missing data from your hosting company or any other source
