Re: UPS Shipping using RESTful/OAuth API [Support Thread]

I ran into the UPS no quote on an order. I did track it down to the city. In this case the customer typed "McKenzie, TN" and that generated the "UPS does not ship to that location" message. Changing it to "Mc Kenzie, TN" and it generates a quote. The online UPS rate gave the suggested correction when I used McKenzie.
If I leave out the City when getting the rate from UPS, it seems to work - so maybe not sending the city to UPS could be the workaround?

Unfortunately, there are also cases where UPS requires the city to give a valid quote.

Re: UPS Shipping using RESTful/OAuth API [Support Thread]

So I wrote an observer that asks UPS which city name it uses for the ZIP, then corrects the saved address. It uses the UPS Address Validation API: POST /api/addressvalidation/v2/1?regionalrequestindicator=True with city, state and ZIP only, and the module’s own Client ID/Secret. If the names differ only in spacing or punctuation, it fixes them silently. If the town name is different, it asks the customer once. If UPS can’t be reached, it changes nothing.

I tried to upload a generic version of the file but it would not allow me.

Nice one! Would you elaborate on

Where did you try to upload it and what wouldn't allow you?

When I replied. I tried to use the attachments option with a .txt file and it would keep sending me back. No error messages

This may be a user issue as i tried on Chrome and Edge with the same result. I thought there would be an upload button after selecting the file but I only see the preview and submit reply. I do not want to derail this thread with what maybe a user issue.

Thanks

I renamed a .php file to a .txt file and the forum rejected it. It must check the file. So I zipped the file
