Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

Same here, u install it so many times and it's all ok, but at times it drives u mad :frusty:

I just checked ur site and can see the large images as being pulled from the bmz_cache folder (http://leelagracejewelry.com/zencart/bmz_cache/7/724ebd81821c5d087270c92b7b1aec0b.image.600x712.jpg)

It was ONLY your Additional Image that was not pulling from the bmz_cache folder.

The other problem I see is the white space around the image as you mentioned:

• Out of curiosity, just try using the (classic) template and see if the same problem occurs?
• Have you checked all the image settings under Admin -> Images?
• Try clearing the image cache under Tools -> Image Handler 2 -> Admin -> Clear Image Cache?
• Are you using any other Mods that might be interfering with IH2?
• I know it's silly, but have you made sure ALL files have been uploaded and correctly? If any files need merging you did that? Especially the additional_images.php!

These are all things you might have already done.

but I am also having an issue with my larger image not coming from the BMZ cache, this is zen 1.39f install with IH 2.8b on it

FYI.. Sorry for the delay.. Been SUPER swamped.. Will be working on a quick 1.3.9f merge/update and getting the Rev8c release posted to the downloads section this weekend..

No worries! The site I'm working on is 1.3.9e, would it still be best to use the Rev8c of the IH2 mod once you release it?

I seemed to have created a problem but not sure how or what to do to fix it.

Just moved the site to new hosting and didn't have permissions set exactly right. Client created a number of new products but the images didn't show on the product listing or product info page. I ascertained that the images did exist in the bmz_cache. Now no matter we do, the images don't show. The first thing I did was dump the cache.

We've tried uploading the same image all over again, editing image to create new one and uploading it with a new name - nothing is fixing this problem.

All other new products are fine.

I have not installed the newest version of image handler - will do that once the f version is released but since I don't understand why this is happening, I don't see that the new version will fix this.

Anybody got any clues what's going on? Could it be just the version not upgraded to 1.39? Or is this some kind of weird cache issue?

Sounds like a cache issue, and let me clarify something just so it's clear to others following this thread: Deleting/dumping the IH2 image cache does not require having to re-upload all the product images again.. (the image cache is create from the original images so deleting the cache deletes ONLY the cache not the original images it was created from)

That said I would try this:

1. Clear the cache (follow this up by deleting EVERYTHING inside the bmz_cache folders)
2. Using the admin toll run the IH2 uninstall.
3. Run the IH2 install from the admin..

See if that doesn't correct the issue..

That didn't correct the problem. What a mystery! I thought it was a cache issue as well at first and had done some of that before. Ran thru it all again .

Check for two things..

Special characters in either the product names or the file image names.. I've run into issues with one or both of those situations creating problems for product images.. For example I had one client who images wouldn't show on one product because she used double quotes in the product name as an abbreviation for the word inches. When we changed the double quotes in the product name to in, the problem went away..

How are you uploading the image, and where are you uploading it to?

do you have a link to the product page this is happening on?

If you add the image via admin do you see the image in admin, on the preview screen?

Well I gave up and installed the Fual Slimbox mod which fixed up my image issue, now IH2 and Fual Slimbox are working perfectly together!

No, IH2 was the only mod installed on the site, and the site was a fresh install of 1.3.9e.

i got i solve just add the addition picture into image

Just verified that none of the files changed since v1.3.9e will affect IH2 Rev8c functionality. I did not do a similar check for the Rev8b fileset currently available in the downloads section..

Carlos and I have both been SUPER swamped so we hope to wrap up our Rev8c review and get it submitted to the downloads section this weekend.. In the meantime if you want the Rev8c fileset, PM me and I'll provide instructions for obtaining those files..
