Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

I would like to be able to use both IH & Mouse over..

Has anyone done this....and it works?

Ok I got crazy with it and removed every non alphanumeric characters in the product, category and attributes sections... Unfortunately it didn't do the trick. I also created a new, empty image folder to see if that would fix it (which i tried before) and that didnt work.

Any other ideas? I think i may try and remove the gift registry module to see if that may be the issue...

What are your thoughts on tryuing an old version of IH?

I'd say get your converted store back to an updated version of your old store.. If that gift registry module is new to your converted store, I think you might try removing it altogether and see what happens..

Ok i tried that by getting the version of zen cart we are presently on 1.3.9f and overwriting/deleting all of the registry files and removing the registry from the DB. That didnt work. I also removed all products and descriptions and images from the DB to see if that may do it... Nope.

Any ideas?

You may get IH2+Lightbox OR IH2+Hover to work together but not all three.. If someone has done it I hope they would be so kind as to share how..

eI am out of ideas..:( Like I said without seeing your site files any help being offered here would be but a guess based on things that have worked for those of us who've had a similar issue..

I would be happy with that one.Small image hover is a built in feature in IH2.. You just have to turn it on.. (in the image settings)

If you are referring to medium image hover (the main product page image) You'll have to make sure that you merge your desired hover module with IH2.. A file merge program will help you accomplish this..

no problem.. just remeber that any image hover mod you install which adds hover on medium images will disable any lightbox functions.. If you wantb the lightbox affect you will have only small image hover (which is part of IH2).. Also check the readme.. I have an entire "editorial" dedicated to this topic..LOL

I don't use any of these mods which provide hover on medium image functionality as they are not compatible with both lightboxes and IH2.. So I don't have any recommendations to give.. The small image hover functionality that IH2 provides has always been adequate for my clients as given a choice between the lightbox effect versus the medium image hover, they prefer the lightbox effect..

I installed "Recent Views" module on my site (https://www.best4future.com). I noticed that when I put the mouse over the small image under the sidebox "Recently viewed", there is no pop-up medium image. And all the titles for small images are "100".

While I I put the mouse over the small image under the sidebox "New Products", the medium images pop up.

Why is that? Is there any way to fix? Thank you!!

LinaI noticed that the "Alt" and "Title" tags also display different data.. Don't know the answer, but this might point you in the right direction for a solution.. Suggest comparing the New Products sidebox code to the Recent Views sidebox code.. Clearly how this add-on sidebox handles images is different than default Zen Cart sideboxes..

I installed IH because I thought the whole point of having IH was that, with a single large image upload (about 63KB), all three sizes that are needed could be served when needed, and that the native size/dimensions of my large uploaded file would remain intact after uploading.

Okay, my large file is uploaded at 500x665, and, although it IS stored permanently on the server at that size, IH serves it from the bmz cache at 413x550 when the large image is called for the popup window.

What am I not understanding? And is there a setting for simply allowing the large image to be served at its native size? If so, does the popup window size need to be adjusted?

Admin -> Configuration -> Images -> IH large image maximum height -> 665

edit for last post: Note that in the readme file, it's recommended to leave the height blank and instead just specify a value for width.

I'm having a problem with the small and medium images not resizing. When I upload the image via "Tools -> IH2 -> New File" I specify the default image (which is typically around 600x700) and the small, medium and large images are the same size.

Thanks much!You installed the add-on, but have not updated your image settings (see the settings and setup section of the readme where settings are discussed in almost painful detail :smile:).. Did you update your admin image settings??
