Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

Without seeing how you installed it, I would be guessing at best why.. All I can say is that IH2 REALLY is a straightforward install, and the majority of issues with it functioning usually revolve around incorrect installs..

Just sent you a PM... just reinstalled the module completely and it keeps doing the same..

Indicates to me that you have some non-IH2 files or file modifications left over in your install that interfere with the IH2 files.

I would download my file structure to my HD and then use WinMerge or a similar app and do a thorough compare of relevant files.

Is it possible to have cachedir bmz_cache to a subdomain so i can speedup my webpage?

How would that speed up your website?

If the subdomain is on the same server it shouldn't make any difference.

If the subdomain is on a faster server, then why not move your whole website there?

It was working yesterday and all of the images I have uploaded are still showing. Only thing I did was install the constant contact mod, not sure how to fix this probem. :(

What's weird is - there are no files that are even merged or over written. It's just three additional files for that sidebox. It could be the sql that was added. I'll try rolling it back and see what happens.

Ok - I rolled back uninstalling that addon and it still did not work. I noticed then it said that Image Handler 2 was not installed. I know it was because I was using it. I reinstalled it via the tools and then it worked.

So that made me curious. Did I uninstall it and not realize it? I went ahead and reinstalled Constant Contact mod - and again IH2 stopped working and said it was not installed.

So I just reinstalled it again and it seems to be working.

Looks like the MySQL for Constant Contact might be messing with the IH2 settings.

At first I have a dedicated server and second I believe that you are joking, it seems that you don't know anything about website performance. I will use cookie free sub domain and the server timeline load will be better, so it will paralel download contents. Why you find this so strange?So can anyone tell me how i can move bmz_cache to a sub domain?

Is there any reason why IH2 would be automatically disabled? I've come across this a few times...thanks!

To get an idea of some of the work IH2 saves you from, read through the Zen Cart FAQ for creating additional images.. With IH2 you don't have to understand the naming conventions required by Zen Cart to recognize images as being additional product images.. IH2 takes care of following these naming conventiosn so that your additional product images are properly named so that Zen Cart recognizes them as additional product images..

That said if you decide to FTP your images YOU must understand how your additional product images need to be named so that Zen Cart will know that they are additional product images.. However, IH2 will still create the small and medium images for these FTP'd images as long as they are uploaded to the "images" directory (this includes subdirectories of the images folder).. Make sense??:smile:

I just want to make sure that we stay on topic and don't stray off too far with discussions that have no bearing on IH2..:smile: Plus like I said if this is not clear in the readme file I need to understand that so I can make adjustments to it as needed.. I want to make sure that it's CRYSTAL clear, and if it's not I will be happy to update the readme as needed.. Clearly we (rather me at this point since ckosloff is no longer working on this..) might need to include some more information in the readme..

Okay, I understand how IH2 handles/resizes your images according to your admin settings. However, I would like to FTP my images to my site.

I've created sub categories in the images file. On the product listing page (admin) I list where the image is (subcategory & image name). Viola, all the images appear.

I know that IH2 resizes with scripts making your site load quicker. Also, you don't need to do all that MED & LRG suffixes. Do the images pull from a cache? The images that IH2 sizes are not actually there? Just resizing from the one that you initially uploaded?

Also, I noticed if I link the original image and then upload my additional images I get double pictures, all of the MED images as well as LRG images will show up. :blink:

Hi im using 1.3.9 g Zen cart and i need support whith image handler

my problem is resizing and create images, i install all ok, and all work ok but image convert not work

i ask to my hosting, and it says imagemagick is installled i put the source on the config file and i go tools-->IM2 in Preview all on white no images

and if i delete the source of imagemagick from config file , to use GD , i go to Preview and all images appear with the same size

What you think is the problem here? my Hosting?

my hosting says it have imagemagick 6.0.7.1-20.el4.

hi i have the solution now, i put it here for help others

i have the config file on default status with gd version on value 2

i tried some configs changing gd version to 1 and 0 i change to one and upload and not work , later i change to 0 and dosent work , and i try to change other values and dont work

and finally when i go to my bed, i put the file on default i change value of gd to 2 and upload it and its works ok

i think the config file are not ok or codified on ansi go error, when i rewrite value 2 its works

and i have image handler now run ok with the slim box contribution

if you has this problem you only need to change config file gd versiom to 0 upload it and refresh preview page, and later change value to 2 and upload it and it work, its so crazy but its works now heheh

Hi i Have the latest Question , I verify All , and all works ok , but only on large images not have watermark, this is because im using slimbox_zencart_1.3.9e_27072010,

and the large image appears withot image handler pass

Has anyone ever gone to IH in Admin to discover that it had uninstalled itself? This has happened twice in the past few days. I have worked on other things, never seeming to touch anything related to IH, and when I go to IH in Admin, the page is still there, but I have to click 'Install Image Handler' to get it back to normal. Anyone experience this?

Also, is there a way to turn off lightbox for some products? I don't need the lightbox on my 'gift certificate' product, as the image is a single small image that doesn't need to be enlarged in lightbox, but I don't see a way of turning lightbox off for this single product. many thanks.

IH2 w/ lightbox works great, but in admin I still have the old pop-up browser window for enlarging images. It doesn't really matter to me, but did I miss a switch somewhere for turning on lightbox in admin?

This has been reported before (in fact just recently someone asked the same question) Duuno why, but the installation of some modules turns IH2 off.. Dunno why, and it seems minor (though admittedly annoying) Just turn IH2 back on and all will be well..
