Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

Any idea when the Medium Image Zooming will be implemented?

I'm having some problems with watermarking on IH2

I only plan to use watermark for large images, and have successfully done so for the IH2 images.. the 1st image can never seem to be watermarked.

If I sound confusing, do click here. As you can see, the black case is not watermarked. All other colours are watermarked.

I checked.. the first image is loaded from my server's image folder. the others from bmz_cache.. that should account for the failure to watermark

Any remedies for me? :)

You can try this.
Zen-Cart Admin --> Tools --> Image Handler 2 --> Admin --> click "Clear Image Cache". You can check to see if this fixes the problem.
If not repeat the above steps and the click on "Remove Image Handler Form database".
The page will reload and now you click on "Install Image Handler".
The 2 steps does not remove any images.

If this does not help please post a link.

It's OK, I've fixed the prob now, did a re-upload of image handler and it rectified it.

Another question however, which would a be a great help, anyone know how to name additional images so that the name appears on the product page (maybe under where it says 'Click to enlarge'?)

Hello All.

I have searched a fair bit and returned no results (that I can see) for my issue.

I installed IM2 for a client and when he adds an extra image for an item, it takes EVERY image on the entire server that begins with the same character and displays that.

Example, if the first character is a 2, ever single image on the server begining with a 2 gets put up as additional images. 1.gif, 2.jpg, 2-twice.jpg, 2456pn.png. 2why.gif.

Have you made sure you uploaded all the files for IH?
The hover is not working cause the needed file is missing.
(/jscript/jscript_imagehover.js)

How are the images named?
How are they being uploaded?
See this post on correct way to name images.

Have you tried from IM admin "Clear Image Cache" and what was the results? Are you still getting the wrong images?

The pic is from Admin or IH2.
When looking at an item in IH2 it shows EVER item with the same first character as being an additional image.

IH2 is being used for easily adding extra images to products.

Although you have given us examples of the names of the additional images being picked up, knowing the names of the product images for which this is happening may be a key part of solving this issue for you.

I have cleared cache.

Images are being uploaded from within IH2 admin, and uploaded into each product. Is there a simpler way?

There are roughly 6000 products to be added in, some with multiple images. All images have unique names, except if they are from the same product, then the names are similar (not the same but similar).

Example:
120579_5ct_4row.jpg
120579_5ct_4row02.jpg
120579_5ct_4row03.jpg

120986_hoodie_black.jpg
1black_tennisshoe_diva.jpg

IH2 thinks because all those names begin with the #1, they are all the same product, so it lists them all as additional images.

I will re-download all files for IH2 again tonight and re-upload everything. If I remove the install through the admin interface, will my client need to redo all the additional images, including the ones that are working?

Thanks, I know it is relevant, but I am not sure I understand what either of you mean.

Images from the same product will sometimes have different image names, but usually have similar names, with a different suffix, ie. left or right, or bottom or top.

Images from different products, have different names.

IH2 is picking up all images with the same foirst character.

Am I making sense? Early in the morning, so not sure if I have cleared my head yet.

Can we focus on one example - and for that example, can you give us- the product id

• the product image name
• the names of the additional images that are being pulled in correctly and incorrectly

Can anybody point me in the right cirection?This was discussed earlier this month. There are posts explaining the likely cause higher up in the thread dated around September 3rd.

It appears to be linked to trying to feed very large image files to the image libraries that Image Handler uses to process them.
