Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

A few more questions:

Do you have accounts set up with Google Checkout?

If so, are you using Sandbox or Production?

If Production, do you have a SSL certificate?

Thanks, I will check out that post. In answer to your questions, yes I have an account set up, I am using Production and I do have an SSL certificate.

Re: Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

chain_man, you were right. My template files were in the wrong place. I needed that extra "templates" folder inside my Custom folder. Thank you for that thread reference and your help. Now I just need to get rid of this "Error: Shipping Methods not configured zones (ignored)"
and I'll be ready to go! Thanks again.

Re: Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

What could I have done wrong, if my zen cart does not update google checkout? For example, I mark an item ordered from google checkout as "Google Shipped" in zen cart admin, but it does not register on Google Checkout itself.

It seems that Google Checkout can interact with my zen cart, but not vice-versa

Ok I figured out, the best place for answers in on the google code site documentation...I didn't see that before, following those directions worked, directions included in the code did not, but hey thanks for the code it is fantastic, I don't know how you guys do it seams like rocket science to me.

Re: Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

I am banging my head here. I have been working for days trying to get GC to communicate with ZC. I am using version 1.3.8 ZC with 1.4.7 GC. The orders go through fine in Google, but do not communicate with ZC. I have tried the sandbox, and can't get that to work either. My SSL certificate is working, and is accepted by GC. I have SSL enabled in my configure.php files. I checked and double checked my coding and cannot find anything wrong there. I have tried with htaccess basic authentication modes on/off.

I've spent 2 days reading every single page of this thread as well as the GC thread on Google and have tried all the suggestions but I still just can not get this to work right! It's driving me crazy!

My responsehandler.php address is correct in GC. When I test the address, I get a name/password prompt. Is this what I am supposed to get?

Here is my responsehandler location:
https://www.bellashbg.com/shop/googlecheckout/responsehandler.php

Can anyone give me any other ideas as to what the problem could be? I am at my wits end here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

No errors in the ZGCO log (yes, I have them set to 777) but there is an error in GCO log. If I understand correctly, this means that it is either not finding the certificate or the certificate isn't valid. I know that the certificate is valid and my hosting provider set it up for me, so I'm assuming it's installed correctly... It is a GoDaddy certificate and I confirmed with them that it would work before I purchased..

Re: Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

I contacted Google and they said that my SSL certificate was not deployed properly. My hosting provider installed it, so I contacted them to find out what the heck is going on. Grr. At least now I know it's not something I did wrong!

Re: Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

I install the GCO 1.47 in my zen-cart 1.38,but i think something don't different with what i want.
when i add the prodcuts to shopping cart for check out.
i find the GCO button on the bottom in the shopping cart page.
when i use the regular check out, in following page:
index.php?main_page=checkout_payment

i cann't find the google check out payment method in the list.

I want to make the GCO in this regular payment method, how can i do.

i try to make this effect before in below method:
i take out the tpl_checkout_payment_default.php in mytemplate folder which install with GCO.
now ,the payment method can see the "google checkout" in the list.
but when i choose this into the checkout_confirmation page.
and press the confirm_order button, but the page back to the shopping_cart page.

:oops:please help me to fix this issue

Re: Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

Hello,

I have installed GC level 2, and I am testing it at the moment. When a customer uses it, and checks out/pays using GC, there is a link to return to the site.

If the user clicks the link, he's taken back to my site - but the basket is still full. Also, the order is not showing in my Zencart admin.

I do NOT have SSL on my hosting account - are the abovementioned problems normal in that case?

If yes, is there a way to clear the shopping basket upon return to the site - maybe by clearing cookies?

Many thanks for any help/suggestions!
Lisa

The GC module pretty clearly states that SSL is required. Also, you must set up the responsehandler properly on the Google side. There have been posts by myself and others detailing exactly how to do this. Get GC working in sandobx mode first. If you don't have SSL, don't even bother because it is required for production mode.

Re: Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

I have GC intergrated into ZenCart ok, but I'm having a problem on returning back to ZenCart from GC.

On return, I get a screen that says "Whoops! Your session has expired" and the items that were purchased (via Sandbox) are not subtracted from my ZenCart inventory.

I am not requiring customers to log-in to my ZenCart, because I don't want to make them sign up twice (1 ZenCart, 2 GC).

Do I have a setting marked wrong somewhere? The Google Checkout is pointing to the correct path for my responsehandler.php, is there something else I need to set up?

In your GC on Google, check to see that Tools/integration is working. Errors?

Hi there - many thanks for your reply.
It is working in Sandbox just fine, apart from the problems mentioned before.

However - I do not have SSL - what can I do then? Note that I do not need to have integration into Zencart admin or similar - I just want to pass my order on to Google.

Many thanks!

Googlecheckout Sandbox mode does not require SSL Cert.
Googlecheckout LIVE mode requires SSL Cert that is acceptable to Google,
or it just will not work.
