Checkout Problem - URGENT!

Hi,

I have items that i say have 0 quantity in stock but they can still order them and i get the stock in 2 weeks later and then send them. One guy just purchased one of these items and another item i had in stock and he got a response from the cart saying

" Please update your order ...
Product Name: Incredibow "No Frills" "Classic Style"
We are sorry but this product has been removed from our inventory at this time.
This item has been removed from your shopping cart."

The payment still went through with the item included and the customer was confused. i looked at the item in the shop and it has now been disabled with -1 stock.

How can i fix this problem?

1. What version of Zen Cart are you using?
2. What version of PHP?
3. What addons/mods have you installed?
4. What payment module are you using?
5. What are your settings in Admin->Configuration->Stock?

If you want to sell stock that's not in stock then set Admin > Configuration > Stock:
Check Stock level to false

At least this is what I have done in my version being 1.2.7

4. What are your settings in Admin->Configuration->Stock?

Check stock level false
Subtract stock true
Allow Checkout true
Mark product out of stock ***
Stock Re-order level 5
Products status in Catalog when out of stock should be set to 0
Show Sold Out Image in place of Add to Cart 0
Product Quantity Decimals 0
Show Shopping Cart - Delete Checkboxes or Delete Button 3
Show Shopping Cart - Update Cart Button Location 3

I should have also asked whether you have "always" used v1.3.5, or if you've upgrade from prior versions, and which versions those were.

i've been using 1.3.5 since the beginning.

should i also change "Subtract stock" to false?

make "check stock level" true
"Sold Out Image in place of Add to Cart" 1
