defining special product on home page

Hi all

I currently have approx 172 items in my catalog, 9 of which are on special offer and selling well.

however, there is now one SUPER-SPECIAL offer that I am trying to push - I need THAT product to be the one that is featured on my home page in the SPECIALS box on the left-hand side - not the one that is currently displaying.

does zencart randomly select which of the nine products on special gets featured on the home page??

any help much appreciated!
