Thanks for the wonderful template!

I have been working on changing some of the display attributes.

You can see from my site that I have been able to move the logo the center and change to left columns.

The problem I have now, is that everything from the nav bar down is on the right of the page. I need it centered under the logo.

I changed the logo to 1024px.

What should I change to move the rest of the columns to the center?

I have searched and searched and found a few useful posts, but nothing that fixes the problem.

Have I goofed up or do I even need to move everything to the center?

There are more spots that you need to change to 1024px. Look for more of the approx. 70em sections.

I've tried to figger this out on my own, but no dice. If I put header sales text in, it displays in the upper right corner like it's supposed to, but if I turn on the Header 2 position, it displays underneath my logo, centered. This happens no matter what I put into the banner. How can I get my banners to display in the upper right hand corner like they are supposed to? Thanks!

I really like this template!

Since it has the multiple color options, I would like to install this template into several different directories and customize the colors in each one.

This way I can easily change template colors without changing code.

As a test, I renamed the apple_zen directory to blue and changed the template info file so that it would appear as the blue title and directory in admin.

Everything seems to work fine except the drop-down bar.

The drop down stuff navigates properly, but it shows "HEADER_TITLE_item name" (shipping, information, new products, etc.) instead of the display name of the item, like "New Products"

Where should I change the code to allow me to rename the main template directory to blue?

I have changed back to apple_zen on the directory so that I can continue development.

Thanks for the template. I love it. I am having one problem and im not sure if it is with the template or zencart. When I click on the add to cart button on an item it takes me to a blank page, but if you hit the back button the site pops back up with the item in the cart. This also happens when creating a new account. The website were the shopping cart is located is www.clglampwork.com/shop I was wondering if you could help me figure this out.

I hit your site and added to cart - and did get the blank white page.

This is not normal.

I have had situations when I FTP'd files to my server - and for whatever reason - the file name listed fine but was corrupted.

I recommend try the simple things first - like going file by file with the FTP.

My problems usually related to copying large files like includes.

I recommend you open the includes folder - then copy each sub folder individually.

Even the larger sub folders - I would break up into smaller chunks.

Try this first - and I bet u will be fixed...

You probably didn't change ALL instances of apple zen to blue, remember it occurs in other places in addition to the template folder.

Been a long time since I troubled you with a question lol .... Havent really needed to edit the template but I just started tweaking it again and I was wondering how to get rid of the space between the header/banner and the top menu ... https://www.zhong-tu.com/products , u will know what I mean.

I have been using the apple zen template for www.hairextensionsshop.comhairextensionsshop.com for quite some time now without having any trouble!

At this moment I am working on a new website www.handbaghooker.euhandbaghooker.eu. This time I went for the narrow header and followed all the very clear steps you pointed out and changed a few colors here and there.
But HELP. In Modzilla FireFox everything looks fine but with Microsoft explorer my header menu is floating totally to the right. Not aligned in the center like the rest at all!

Any idea what this could be?
I really hope to hear from you soon because I usually have the site on maintenance while working on it. But to give you a peak I did shut it off for now .....

First of all id like to thank you for a great template!

Im wondering if someone can help me, im having a few problems with the content of my define_main_page displaying on all my pages,

Example: if you go here:

http://www.you-save-online.com/shop/

Click on Games Consoles-> from the right hand menu.

The content of the main page still says there and the sub categories displays under the main page content.

How do i remove the main page from displaying when you click on a category which has sub categories. If you click on a link with no sub categories eg. Blu Ray & DVD Players, it displays the products fine without the the main page.

Please help!

Hey I just started using this template - great template by the way!

For some reason, it is only displaying the first two dropdowns: HOME and CATEGORIES. And Categories goes to the site map.

How do I get the INFORMATION, CONTACT US, MY ACCOUNT & SHOPPING CART dropdowns to display?

Please be so kind to explain how to place the picture immeadiatly next to the Drop Down Menu (in red) and make it fill the light grey space (on large).
The "Categories" Side-box on the right should only appear after the picture, as well as the text that starts by "Welcome to CigarPremium".

Apologies as a newbie if I'm asking something that has already been answered many times before. Or if it is too elementary. I just found 101 pages of replies on this thread a bit daunting to search through!

Anyway, I have used a much customised version of apple_zen for my shop's site:

Just 4 questions that have been bugging me, since i started customising:

1. Where can I set the table height to 100%, i.e. so that the apge always fills the whole height of the screen? Tried editing various values in the CSS but without success.

2. How do I remove the extra 'login' etc. links from the top of the page?

3. How can I customise the 'edge' shadow background to something more in keeping with my main site's 'deckled edge'?

e.g. http://www.shopfoundation.com

4. Where can I edit the drop-down menu boxes?

Dytron, Thanks for the tip but it has not solved my problem completely. The dropdown menu is now not floating to the right anylonger but floating to the left in both Mozilla Firefox and Explorer.

I checked everything and compared it to the original css but cannot find any differences. However, as soon as I load the original css all problems are solved!?
Probably best to just start over with changing the css step by step ....
