Re: Admin Access

It is usually url_to_your_zencart/admin e.g. https://www.mysite.com/admin

Re: Admin Access

Guys thanks for your answers. But when I put that URL
I only get a blank screen http://www.gastatucupo.com/admin/

I think this may be for some configuration, I just want to knoe where to start researching to solve this issue.

I have this portal hosted by yahoo so I'm not going to be open for "any" customization.

Re: Admin Access

Hi all, I'm new to Zen Cart and I am following Goh Koon Hoek book instructions. I have got to page 63 with very few problems. I can see the store no problem but when I go into the admin console all I get is a list of files under the heading:

Index of /store/admin

It seems to me that the admin folder is missing files. Any reason for this and is there an easy fix?

Cheers
Rob

Re: Admin Access

Yes jund, that URL (http://www.gastatucupo.com/admin/index.php) is also a blank screen.

And kuroi about your question "What folders do you have in the root directory of site (that will be the one most likely called htdocs or public_html?"
Off site? I just uploaded the complete file structure to my directory on the server. I really dont get what you mean with "What folders do you have in the root directory of site". I'm hosting with yahoo, an they only give a ftp access that points directly a directory. That directory was empty before the upload was done.

Re: Admin Access

Hi mate
I just checked for these urls

http://www.gastatucupo.com/admin/admin.php
http://www.gastatucupo.com/admin/alt_nav.php
And it seems like you do have the admin folder with these files but probably some files are missing or there might be some other problems. Can you compare the files once again with the fresh install?

Re: Admin Access

Hi superprg and thx for your response.

I havent change anything after the install. I just unzipped the folders, and ran the install process. When the install process ends, it ask you if you want go to the admin area or to the user area. I clicked go to the user area, and then I erased the install folder and that was about it.

I didn't change anything else.

You are telling me to compare the files, but I haven't done any new configurations.

Sorry guys to bother you with so many issues, is that I really need this working ASAP and I'm about to leave this project cause brings so many problems....

Thanks for everything anyways.

You probably have some incomplete files as a result of an FTP timeout when you were uploading the files. Hence the suggestion to compare files and determine which ones didn't upload properly.
