Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

I have both Image Handler 2 and fual Slimlight Box installed on an zcart 1.3.8a.

I cannot seem to get the rollover feature to work on the small images. Are these mods compatible with each other, or is the slimlight box not allowing the setting for the smalle image zoom to work?

I have seached and cannot find where to put the shopad folder, as the documentation does not mention where to upload, or if its even needed. Is this maybe why I cannot get the small images to to expand when rolled ove?

Last question:
Where do I set the size for the small, medium, and large files? I don't think imagemagick is installed, so is it safe to assume that whatever size I create the images in Photoshop will be what is uploaded.

Did you check to see that you uploaded "All" the files?
For setting image size...
Admin-->Configuration-->Images

During the set up of my Store, I turned off IH2 so that I can replace the already watermarked images with clean ones, so that IH2 can do the work for me in a more proficient way.

I turned IH2 back on and cannot view the watermark on MED or LRG images.

Permissions are set as per the instructions, the watermark PNG's are there.

In admin, I did select Watermarks for bot MED and LRG images.

Was there something I missed?

So the watermark work ok before turning off IH?
Have you upload clean/fresh watermark files?

Yes. I did not have to touch any IH2 pages.

The IH2 watermarks worked fine before turning it off.

Now, I have a 403 error when viewing the Shop admin. This is a deeper hole.

I noticed in the languages folder of the files to upload for Image Handler, there was an English and German one. Is a Chinese one available or is there some workaround?

The image that is being loaded by the markup isn't on your server:

So now I have Image Handler 2 and zen lightbox_1.4 installed.
So......
Let me ask this.

When I browse a category from the index page and I get a list of products, can or should on rollover, the image expand in a lightbox? If yes, its not. I am not getting any errors

Maybe I am confused between IH2 and ZL 1.4.

The image on rollover should pop-up a hover type pop-up that when you scroll away from the image disappears ... if you not getting that you'll need to check that your Small image dimensions under Configuration :: Images in your administration match the image dimensions found further down that same page.

The HoverBox and LightBox mods provide for their effects on the product information pages.

Thanks for your help, tophand. I removed and reinstalled IH2, but that didn't seem to help (even after I remembered to redo the settings in the admin :laugh:). I ended up uploading includes/modules/pages/popup_image/header_php.php and includes/modules/pages/popup_image_additional/header_php.php from the IH2 download (overwriting the files from 1.3.8) and it's behaving normally now. :smile:

Thanks so much afo, tophand and others in this thread. I was using 1.3.7.1 with IH2 and everything was great. Then I upgraded to 1.3.8a and additional images stopped appearing.

I followed afo's steps above, but I had to also replace 1.3.8's includes/modules/additional_images.php with the version that came with IH2. Everything works great again - watermarks, additional images, everything.

Please check that the Small Image Dimensions match the dimensions of the image your hovering over.

Options are under Configuration :: Images.

Example:

The following settings won't allow a hover to be shown for the "New Products" area:

Small Image Width: 150px
Small Image Height: 120px

Image - New Products Width: 120px
Image - New Products Height: 100px

But by changing your settings to one of the following two ways, will:

Small Image Width: 150px
Small Image Height: 120px

Image - New Products Width: 150px
Image - New Products Height: 120px

OR

Small Image Width: 120px
Small Image Height: 100px

Image - New Products Width: 120px
Image - New Products Height: 100px

Notice how the settings now match ... Which one you choose is based on your need.

hmmm that file is actually in the template_default, but yeah everything is uploaded. It worked fine a couple days ago, but hasn't worked since I updated to zen v1.3.8:ohmy:
