Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

DieuxSoldat_04:

Hey IH 2.0 guys,

I searched around 80 pages of post by post and my eyes are aching after 3 hours so I'm sorry if this has been answered already : P

I don't know if this occurs for everyone that visits my web page, Endless Sonata, but when I view the page in Internet Explorer 7, the images on the main page under Monthly specials near the bottom, for some odd reason, decide have the rollover image pop-up near the top of the web page.

Can someone help me fix this or le tme know if it might be a problem with only my IE 7?

Thanks,
Warm Regards,
Jason H.

Your not alone. I just noticed it in mine as well and I know theres a fix but i can't find it anymore either.

Someone please point to it. I've searched 2 hours.

Thank You

GJW

The fix has been posted before.

Need to download the newest version of IH and replace your old "jscript_imagehover.js" with the new "jscript_imagehover.js"

If your IH version is older then "2.0v0916" then you should replace all the files as there been a few changes.

Attached is my jscript_imagehover.js that works with IE7.
Feel free to test it.

Re: Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

My eyes are bugging out reading all the threads on this issue, including the ones in archive - I am not seeing the issue I am having, so if I have missed it, please forgive me for double issues.

Installation went like clock work, I have the link in tools for the Image Handler2, but the problem is, when I click the link I get the following error message and I have NO clue what that means:

Sorry, your security clearance does not allow you to access this resource.

Please contact your site administrator if you believe this to be incorrect.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

To answer some questions that I thought of that may not matter, but I doubled checked anyway, yes, I have GD installed, yes the "bmz_cache" permissions are set the same as my images folder.

Any ideas?
In case you need it, my site is Knot & Bauble Shoppe

Try adding this to your .htaccess file in the admin folder:

#Turn Security Filter Off
SecFilterEngine off

M (tophand),
Thank you! I don't know what it was but all the js files I tried in IH2 wouldn't work. The one you attached finally did the trick. Thank you again.

Re: Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

To Tophands response, I did as instructed, but now get the error message below that locks out my admin completely until I remove it:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Any other ideas? Boy, why is it when I do something it always has to be so complicated?

Thanks tophand, your jscript worked beautifully.

SaMortensen:

Just an idea, doubt its the problem but go to you cPanel for your web hosting and go to File manager. Try changing the permissions of the files you uploaded for IH2 to 755.

Hello? Have you tried my earlier post?

Try adding this to your .htaccess file in the admin folder:

Re: Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

A while back there was a bit of discussion about sharpening the images resized by Image Handler, but it appears there was never really any kind of solution discussed. I find that the scaled images are a bit on the fuzzy side, even with compression quality set to 100, so I spent a little time looking around for a solution and found this:

vikjavev.no/computing/ump.php?id=35

Now I am certainly no programmer and integrating this into Image Handler is well beyond my abilities, but this bit of code looks like it will allow IH to generate much better quality scaled images. Anyone up to the challenge of adding this to IH2?

Re: Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

Hi there,
Just installed Image handler 2 and its all working fine except for one small glitch.
When the i roll over a small image and the other image apears, it is in the top right of the page and creates more space around the website.
Where can i find the file to change the location of the hover popup?
Thank you,
Liam

You forgot to upload the file style_imagehover.css to the css folder in your template directory.

Re: Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

Hi, I had installed image handler on 1.3.8. and works fine! But yesterday I don't know why but it stops to work, no more hover, no more resize, no more watermark, nothing, only a popup in white showing no image.
The only thing I have installed were categories dressing and live multichat but I desactivated on layout control boxes in admin and are not the problem I think.
I have installed fual slim box and zen light box.
I delete all the files (fual slim and zen light box as well) and try to installed again, and do it again and again, with different versions from the contributions download page and from breakmyzencart as well and can not get it to work!
Please someone can send me and attachement with this mod that works ok or guide me on how to configure well this mod.
When the mod was working fine, in admin-image handler, in preview the example images were showed in three different sizes and all these times that I've reinstalled again the three images were showed in the same size.
Please I need help because I want to get this mod work again and now I don't know what to do more!

Re: Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

SaMortensen,

It appears you have admin profiles loaded on your site. The error you show is exactly what you would see when admin profiles stops you from getting someplace in the admin. Goto tools>admin settings> and than next your user you will see a little colored circle with a p in it.....click the little p. You will than be taken to your admin permissions settings. Go to the bottom of the page and look for any check boxes not set.....set them and save (update) you should now have access. You may have to do this when moving through other menus in the system as admin profiles doesn't know they exist until you try to access them for the first time.

Re: Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

Hey IH Support guys,

I apologize if this has been asked and addressed before but my eyes are a'achin from 2 and a half hour of scanning these forums. The only thing that came close to fixing this problem was CraigW's Post. There was one fatal problem behind it though, as he said, it now disables the zoom of IH 2. Can someone please find a way to fix the Internet Explorer problem without inhibiting other functions?

Warm Regards,
Jason H.

Re: Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

Please help. When I go to tools and now try and access IH2, I get this:

Warning: require(includes/ih_manager.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home2/postocom/public_html/elocin/image_handler.php on line 153

Warning: require(includes/ih_manager.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home2/postocom/public_html/elocin/image_handler.php on line 153

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'includes/ih_manager.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home2/postocom/public_html/elocin/image_handler.php on line 153

I think it was and still is working correctly, as I have the hover image. Can someone check this page and tell me if Image Handler appears to be working, and what the above image means. I did check and the image_handler.php file does seem to be in the directory.

http://209.85.34.64/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=11_42_81

Thanks.
