Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

I hope someone can help me with this. Its driving me nuts! I am building a store for a client. The main image is not going to have a rollover image come up, but the additional images are. The problem is, some pages are working and some are not. Any idea why?!?!

Does IH2 scale images UP or scale images DOWN in size?

What I mean is can I load up my largest image and IH2 will scale it down to the right size (and presumably make the file smaller in bytes as well) or does it work the other way?

And if it does what I want (make things smaller) where do I load the file? In images\large and use the LRG trailer or something else??

Well obviously i figured it out myself. I have just a single image, the large sized one, and it works PERFECTLY!

Problem: hover effect does not work on all pages.

Installed: zen 1.3.8 NEW Clean install
Installed: IH2

I cant get all the pictures to come up.
The picture resize engine only hovers pictures in "sidebox review" and on "product details page(in additional pictures ex: picflower_morepics.jpg)"

Tried 3 installs:
First install was made over classic template.
Second install was made over APPLE ZEN template.
Third install(listed in installation order) was CLEAN INSTALL(where the public_html was wiped out, zen1.3.8 reinstalled, but database linked was old database file),than IH2 reinstalled.

I figured i have to add code to the pages like "all product" and "new products".
What type of code am i adding?

I have searched, but if you search for IE hover position you get like 200 posts so I thought I'd just ask...my hovers are positioned fine in Firefox, but in IE, it's way too high. I have not changed the style_imagehover.css file at all. The further you get down the page, the worse the location of the hovers is. In the bottom row on the front page, you can't see the popups at all.

Are all of your small images the same size? It will only hover on thumbnails that are the same size as your small image height/width in the Configuration/Images settings.

Anyone see IM2 do this..when I puyt my cursor over an image, it puts the enlarge dimage in the upper right corner?? I been tryin to igure this one out and I am stuck.

This should have been explained in the readme.txt

I installed the IH2 mod in our test site running 1.3.8a and everything seemed fine until we tried to mouseover an image near the bottom of the page. Doing so resulted in "'pageY' is null or not an object"

We had no problem with images higher up in the page running the exact same JS code. Then we shrunk our browser window and caused the same error on every image that was "too close" to the bottom of the visible portion of the page before scrolling down further. After scrolling down to allow enough room for the image to display, the error is avoided, but cannot be avoided for images naturally placed right above the footer.

I have not had time to debug the js used for this mod, but has anyone else encountered this problem? If so, is there a fix and can you provide the details?

Hmm ... have a link to replicate the problem?

Just Installed Image Handler2, and works great in Admin. Problem is, that I can't see the front end of my site. It just come up with a white screen instead of the shop.

Any ideas?

KyAppropriate FAQ Entry. Using the debug facility should tell you precisely where the error is occurring.

Tried the debugging tool and the error reporting php script, but neither is telling me anything.

Solved it. I had error reporting in my CPanel. Turns out that bmz_image_handler.php from Image Handler 2 was clashing with a file from hoverbox2.

Here's a little more info...it does this whether I am using the default template or the custom template. I was trying to troubleshoot it myself and did find this so I'm not sure what the problem can be. I am also using the Fual Slimbox if that matters.

Make sure you hover an image that is close to the bottom of the browser window. If your screen size is very large, you may need to shrink the window.

Bug located using IE 7.0.6000.16643 :censored:

FF 2.0.0.12 is mostly fine except it shifts the layout slightly :huh: when hovering an image near the bottom, but is still displays as expected.

Note: The problem appears to be on line 124...

For some reason, pageY is not being included as an attribute of the event being passed to the function. I am at a loss for why this would not be present under the circumstances.

Here is how we bypassed the problem temporarily until someone can help determine how to fix the pageY issue in IE7...
