Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

New problem and I haven't seen an actual solution, just a work around.

PNG files. I have some that are required. I have a scrapbooking site and there ARE times, when showing off a png is preferable to a gif or a jpg.

With that said, yes, I have tried 16 bit, 24 bit, and 32 bit and NONE of them work. Using IE 8 which is suppose to be friendlier to PNG than IE7 or IE6. ( I'm actually running three browsers but doing this in IE)

Most of them I have converted to jpgs. But I need to find a solution not a workaround.

I have searched the thread which is why I found out about the 16 vs 32 bit (mine were actually 8 bit and showed just fine before).

So if anyone has any ideas?

Hi - looked folr an answer to this problem unsucsefully. installed IH2; hovering working, when I add image via categories/products image gets added and sized correctly.
However when I go to Tools - IH2, and call up a product all three images - small medium and large - refelct a size of 640 x 427 and 103.57kb. When I add an image here it remains at the large size of the original and is not reduced to small or medium.

I installed image handler on a store with working and live products.
The new Products category shows the image handler working but when I go and click on manufacturers it doesnt any more.

I checked image libraries and they show that the images are resized.
Anybody know why its not workin on main manufacturers images but it is in new products?

Im thinking its a script issue somewhere because it only works on the new products box on main page.
I uploaded a new product to see if images needed to be chagned to make it work and nothing happened it stayed like all the rest.

It seems to me a possible script error somewhere but not certain .. nay help would be great. Store this is happening on

All the sizes are set the same.

The image handler will work on all the products but only if they are showin in the new products box or in the reviews box. Still thinking its a script thing

I even went and tested it on a zen set up I already have with existing content and it worked fine.

I have installed IH2, mainly to get watermarks on my large images.
Only the small images in the what's new sidebox display a watermark. I have created a watermark_LRG.png and uploaded it to /images/large.

When I copy an image from /images to images/large and add suffx _LRG to it, then it does show the watermark when large.

IH is not handling my images. These are my settings:

Hello all,

New to both IH2 and ZC here. I copied the IH2 files into the shop directory, installed IH2 in the Admin page, and my main shop page went blank, except for a few bars and links, and I'm not seeing a way to fix it. Can you please help?

Hi,

I have all my main images uploaded at 700px wide by 1050px high. Which in hindsight was a bit large.

So, I set IH2 in admin to IH large image maximum width 600 and
IH large image maximum height 900.

Now, when I click on additional images, they open at the 600x900 dimensions. HOWEVER, when I click on the main product image, it is still coming up as 700x1050.

Anyone know why the additional images are obeying the IH2 admin settings, but the main image is not?

Hi, I have a serious problem with IH2 and have not come across any solutions that work except deactivating IH2.

I posted my problem in a different thread since at that time I was not 100% sure it had to do with IH2:

To summarize my problem: I have a shop (about 1000 products) running for many years now. In the last 2 years, I have been using IH2 without any problems. Now since a couple of weeks, after adding new products, the front-end page that displays this product would just blank the part starting where the product display starts. The header and all the stuff that is loaded before the product, is displayed, but not the rest. The same thing happens for categories that contain at least one of the "bad" products, resulting in blanking the whole category!

I've read of other people having the same problem but could not find any answers nor solutions.

Any suggestions on what I could do? If not, are there any automatic resizing alternatives to IH2?

Have you cleared your cache in image handler? Go to your store admin/tools/image handler/admin/Clear image cache and see if that will do anything for you. If not i'm not sure.

Does anyone know how to apply the IH2 maximum image size setting to the main image as opposed to just the additional images?

No thats not normal. If you are on a shared sever it should have took a little bit more time than that. I would go to your sever and check the bmz_cache and make sure it is set to 777. Check and see if you have anything in there, if not then the problem is somewhere else.

That shouldn't make any difference with this module but I would upgrade if you can. Most severs give you an option in c panel under File Extension or your server may use a different language but it is their. Switch to the extension php5. Check under your store admin/tools/Server Information and make sure GD libraries
or ImageMagick are installed. Let me know.

I mean the weird thing is that this problem is only on some of the products I recently added, not all of them. This is what confuses me the most.

If your cache is working right and you cleared it you shouldn't have all those images there that fast. Clear it 2 or 3 time and check. ummm something weird going on. Have you installed any new module before you insert new products to your store?
