Re: Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

I have several installed but I haven't yet made a decision on which one I will be using for the store. The template I am using in the links you guys visit is CherryZen. I have IH installed in several templates and none of them work. I do not want a height specified because all my images at at different heights. I do not want to rename or redo all my images as I have over 2000. In osc I am using more pics so I have images that are sizes width 60, 147 and lg.

Images Setting:

When I looked in the source file the images show being located in the medium folder and I don't understand why it shows that particular folder. It should be in the large or wherever.

Thanks, Kaddie

Re: Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

I installed image handler as one of the first addons when I started work on my cart. I added a number of products to test functionality, layout etc and all seemed to be well.
I've installed a number of other mods since then and I'm am now trying to add more products.
When I am on the image handler "page" of my admin (the management tab) and try to select a product to add an additional image to, after I select it from the drop down, the page jumps back to the admin tab.
I've looked at all my other mods and none of them seem to have any files that would effect image handler, certainly no modifications of the same files.
Has anyone had the same issue?
I've carefully searched this thread and haven't been able to find an answer.
My other mods are,
Oz Post
Newsletter only
about us (extra page maker)
css drop down menu
user currency
returns form
attribute separate stock
cherry zen template
recent security patch

I hope this is enough info for some one to help
Thanks, David

Re: Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

I have resolved my issue from the above post.
I noticed (after a nights sleep perhaps) that although my files were intact and most of IH2 seemed to be working correctly, it wasn't installed. That is to say it had the option on the IH page in my admin to install it.
I simply clicked it and all seems well again.

I have no idea how it became uninstalled.
Perhaps some one with more programing/zen experience than myself could shed some light on this if other folks find this happening.
I'm suspicious that my recent renaming of my admin folder might have caused this.
If that is the case, others who are finally getting around to doing this with the new security patch might experience the same problem.

Nope, I am the paranoiac who renames admin folder regularly and everything OK with IH2.

Re: Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

I copied the IH files over again but they appeared to be the same.

The BMZ permissions are set the same as the image folder.

It appears that images are being generated and stored in the BMZ folder though. I cleared it before and now they are back.

Tell me what I could have done in regards to maybe the image file names or the image sizes?

I am getting the text on the imagehover but still no image.

Re: Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

I have installed Image Handler2 (several times now) & it works a treat.

Is there any way to suppress, or switch off, the image that pops up when you mouseover the additional product images. please?

A quick way I can think of is to rename jscript_imagehover.js

Re: Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

Image handler seems to be messing things up all of a sudden. When I add a product and picture the whole category goes blank. If there are items in a specific category they all go away. The page loads but the main section is just plain empty. If I remove the last product everything comes back. It only happens when i put an image with the product.

I recently did the security update and ran into some issues and had to undo it. In redoing that I had to run the debugging to fix a blank screen. fixed that issue. The debugging shows no issues with my current problem.

PLEASE HELP...i have installed all the PHP of image handler again but am getting no relief here. Not sure how to completely uninstall it and reinstall either.

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Re: Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

dni:

Image Handler 2 seems to not be not working after adding the most recent security patch for the admin area.

When I try to upload, and hit "save", I just get bounced back to the top of the admin section.

On 1.3.8a

Anybody else seeing this?

yes...don't know how to fix this...any image i add now makes the whole category go away...well the page loads but the main area is blank. If i remove the pic it all comes back...need help.

Re: Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

Hi,

After hover over images I have images very small.

Size of original image is 230 x 133px. This is for whole shop.
Size of small image is 150 x 100px.
After hover is approximately 150 x 100px too.
I need size after hover approximately 230 x ....px.

Is it possible? This is very important for me.

Thanx

Re: Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

This must have been posted 100 times already, but I see people coming back to the same problem time and time again. Notice the 80 in the below Configuration -> Images, this setting needs to be the same all across, it can be changed to something different but it has to be CONSISTENT for IH2 to work.
You don't need to set both dimensions, one is enough, you can choose either width or height.
You control your hover via the Product Info dimension, that is not the same as 80 in below page, you can set it to whatever you want but it cannot be larger than your largest image (IH2 does not enlarge images).
If your IH2 does not work, make sure all files are in correct location, that they are not corrupt from bad FTP transfers, and that there are no javascript conflicts.
Easy way to avoid them is to move the javascripts that IH2 places in your template_default to your custom template, make sure it is active.
Make sure IH2 is installed. Admin -> Tools -> Image Handler2 -> Admin.
Set permissions in your images and bmz_cache folder to 777.
Look for tophand's jscript_imagehover.js and replace with that one.
That's IH2 troubleshooting in a nutshell.

Re: Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

So now it's installed and here is what is happening, I have a little "+" sign in the corner of the pictures on the category pages. On my product info page (once you click on the product to get more info my picture has disappeared all together). And worst of all, the mouseover for the large image doesn't work anywhere on the site? Maybe it's just late and I'm missing something obvious but I don't see it. I set all image width on my site to 133 as per the instructions on the previous page or two. Still nothing, I have added the js page to my custom template page as per another post I found, still nothing, what else might I be missing?

Thanks,

Richard

Re: Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

Sorry ckosloff, but this is not result for me. I know that settings and consistent for IH2 to work. My IH2 work fine.
Question was about change size of hover image, ex. change code in jscript_imagehover.js. I wrote that in my functional configuration is size of my small picture 150px x .....px and I want change hover image to large size than automatic calculation of IH2, ex. 200px x ..... (original 230px x ......).

Re: Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

Ok so Iv'e been messing with this all day to no avail, one thing that I have figured out is that my command for on mouseover doesn't call for the image from the bmz cache folder? I have read and re-read the install instructions and I am 99% sure that I have done this correct but still no popup image at all. And I can't even find the javascript reference in my source code anywhere? I'm about to give up on this module and search for another solution if there is one out there?

Re: Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

Nevermind, After a few more hours on the boards and playing around I have figured that you can not use your current photo's to make this work, you must reset all of your images, anyways, it's working now, thanks for the great program...if I was more talented I would write a better readme file for this program to help noobs like myself but I'm a noob not a writer. :shocking:

Thanks,

Richard
