Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

Some time back I reported that animated gifs (in my case used for category images) did not work with this mod. While a workaround was posted, I did not follow through with it.

Now that this mod is undergoing a revision, is there any chance that animated gifs will work?

MikeTesting is going fine.. No hurdles.. But remember all of us volunteers in this effort are working folks with day jobs, families, other obligations, etc.. No ETA just yet.. POSSIBLY this weekend, but again, schedules permitting..

DivaV....are there going to be any drastic or new things with the 1.3.9 version? I guess other than the ability to work with php5, cause the one you all revised already works great in 1.3.9 now...at my store.

We're likely not going to include a second version (as I previously posted) which supports backwards compatibility with previous versions of Zen Cart.. You will need to upgrade to 1.3.9b to use Rev 8..

Is there a way to disable Image handle for the main page only?

As well how do I resize the image zoom?

On top of that the zoom image does not scroll down the page with my product list. Therefore when I hover over a product at the bottom of the page the zoom is not visible since it is at the top. Any Suggestions on how to fix this?

We (ckosloff and others) are still working on testing and other updates to IH2. (We now have updated Spanish language files!!:clap:) In addition to PHP 5.3 compatibility, we want to make sure that the mod is also backwards compatible with PHP 5.2.X versions as well..

Work and client obligations have had all of us slammed.. So we're doing what we can to squeeze in time for testing/updating. (I'm also working with others on the upcoming Super Orders update as well). We hope to get more done this week, and it shouldn't be too much longer before we can submit the Rev 48 release..

The image shown in the hover is the medium sized image which is the same as the image show on the product info/details page. Your settings for this product info image controls the size of the hovered image..

I have a problem with IH 2.0 on zencart (1.8a-1.9b) only when i upload JPEG pictures from my photo.
For Example when i Upload this JPG picture http://www.4shared.com/photo/YwEofIbD/_DSC1007_2.html , my site stop working. He Load only first lines from html wich is to begging of the picture and stop.
There are no porblem when i load the same picture in photoshop and save it again.
Where can be the problem? I try many things but noting help.

the reason your site is hanging may be because the file size of that image is large about 1mb, which is fairly large for a product image, i am assuming that photoshop resizes and resamples the image to a reasonable file size and dimensions

Have you looked at the image size and dimensions after saving it in Photoshop and comparing then to the original

the dimensions for the image you are showing are listed as
Exif Image Height: 2592 pixels
Exif Image Width: 3872 pixels
which is HUGE as the average monitor screen is only around 1024px by 768px high, so i am assuming the reason the images go up after being opened and saved in Photoshop is that photoshop is "saving for web" which probably sets the quality/compression at 80% and the dimensions to something more appropriate

I agree with you the file size dimensions are far too large for ANY website image.. Flirt should try resizing the images to a more manageble filesize, and then see if this corrects the issue.. I'd say the MAX size (and this IMO is still too big) is 800 x 800, and this is ONLY if you just GOTTA have a BAI (my abbr for "big a$$ed image":laugh:)

IH 2.0

I have set up a fresh install of ZC using my own template. I have installed (i think accuratly) Image Handler.

Firstly -

It appears in Admin fine. Can add as many images as needed.

Only 1 image appears on product page and above the small image icons it says somthing like HEADING_TITLE_ADDITIONAL_IMAGES

Now however after clearing the image cache and turning IH on it wont show product images at all in the listing page but it will on the product page (just image not found style icon) and not in admin either.

Turn off IH everything reverts to standard and the images come back.

Have i missed somthing?

After loadin up IH2 mine admin sudenly stopped i got an 500 Error wen i want see minedomain/admin i am searchin for 2 whole days now how to get this to work again plzz do anyone knows how to deal with this

(New update i chanched the configure.php with one i saved for edit on mine desktop so i turned this now i see an login.php but wen i fil mine user name ant pasword it redirect mi to mine costumor homepage login i dont seem to understand this)

Is there sombody that can handle this?

Hi, the problem is only when i use Image Handler addon, site work ok if i use standart ZC images. Yes the picture is big, but i`m set to IH settings to resize it to 700x400px, and mybe there are problem in the IH scripts when process the image.
