Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

nigelt74:

It should work, the functions different between php5.2 and 5.3 are only depreciated, are you seeing error messages?

hello. on 1.3.9 on php 5.3 space there are no error messages yet there are no watermarks being shown on the site. Also the small images are boxy and pixeled. Not smooth like they are in 1.3.8a on php 5.2

Re: Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

Hi,

This is a great contribution. I have posted this problem before but I think my post got missed. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. I'm sure I have probably done somthing stupid.

Im using ZC 1.3.9a and IH 2.0 also using zen lightbox 1.5

I have set up a fresh install of ZC using my own template. I have installed (i think accuratly) Image Handler.

Firstly -

It appears in Admin fine. Can add as many images as needed.

Only 1 image appears on product page and above the small image icons it says somthing like HEADING_TITLE_ADDITIONAL_IMAGES

Now however after clearing the image cache and turning IH on it wont show product images at all in the listing page but it will on the product page (just image not found style icon) and not in admin either.

Turn off IH everything reverts to standard and the images come back.

Have i missed somthing?

Thanks

Hiya, ckosloff.

I saw your earlier post that the last version works fine and that the updated version that you have been working on is but an improvement upon something that already works well.

But if you guys are planning to roll it out sometime this week, I'd rather just wait for your latest/greatest.

Do you guys have a roll out date planned yet?

Thanks!

Thanks!Hard to plan a rollout date on this.. Besides the time differences between everyone coding and testing, there still is the general everyone involved is volunteering their time and must do so while juggling our own jobs, side jobs, kids, nephews (that's me!) etc.. Today for example I'm juggling between cooking, cleaning, working on the new Super Orders release, working on two new client's websites, updating a current client's site, helping with my nephew with his history assignment..

It may be another week (or two at most).. In short we are working as fast as we can and simply ask for patience on everyone's part..

Kids/nephews ALWAYS take priority, no contest!

I'll just install the legacy and update later. If memory serves, Shane's List says "Careful Winmerging Required". So I'm off to figure out how to do that....

Kids/nephews ALWAYS take priority, no contest! :smile:The homework project turned out pretty cool.. A Time magazine "Man of the Year" cover for a paper on a person of influence in California.. I assisted with the graphic/publishing work.. The kid was pleased.. He got to hang out with his cool:cool: auntie, do some homework, and have lunch at Bob's Big Boy.. http://www.bigboy.com/

So I'm off to figure out how to do that....Install either Winmerge, Beyond Compare and compare the modules files to the store files, and merge the changes.. Should be fairly straightforward..

Thanks for your patience.. We'll be doing another round of testing soon, and you should see something in the next week or two..

If anyone wants to volunteer to for language files contributions for IH2, that would be super.. We already have a Spanish translation:clap:, other languages welcome..

Fun stuff! :D

All my puters are macs, so I'll be using FileMerge. I have NEVER tried to do anything like this, but I'm sure I can figure it out.

One really dumb question b4 I set about this project.... when you say "compare the modules files to the store files, and merge the changes" I assume that means:

  1. Find any files in the mod that already exist in my store.
  2. Find any content in the Mod file that does not exist in my store file.
  3. Copy the Mod file extra info into the store file.

Hate to be thick, just want to be sure what I'm doing.

Re: Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

i cant really remember, as it has been a while... but from memory IH2 is not all that hard. And thats an opinion coming from someone thats not a programmer. its not the easiest but i would say more time consuming that actually hard.

bigboy.com: bloody hell, no wonder all americans are fat! the clue is in the name! (i wonder how many American Zenners now hate me :P)

Ha ha! Yea, it's been years since I've done a "Big Boys".

Naaaa, doubt any American Zenners will be holding a grudge based on that observation! Not fer nuthin though, doesn't seem like Limies are any slimmer in my experience (body builders excepted, of course!).

Thanks for offering your thoughts on it.... not looking forward to the "time consuming" aspect!

Re: Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

only way to learn, sadly...

if i were you i'd play about on a test site before attempting changes to a live store!.. oh the amount of times i hve broke my own site!!

actully, i got into the gym because i spent all my mid-late teens being fat, by the time i was 25 my doc said i would be dead at 35... i was so so so so big!... i had moobs most women would want! took long enough

took 4 years but av went from 21 stone of pure lard and 46" jeans down to 34" jeans.. now my goal is to be 21st of lean muscle by the time in 35 (it wont happen, but its worth aiming for)

i cant eat things like burgers now.. makes me ill... but yes.. there are many a fatty in the UK. and somehow i always end up dating them :( haha

oh.. off subject, best wind my neck in before i get b-slapped..

always happy to help a fatty tho... i know the pain and made all the mistakes

Beyond Compare does a really good job of highlighting the differences, but most of these compare and merge programs will do the same.. I'm not a programmer, and it didn't take much time to go through the mod files at all.. You should be fine..

Feznizzle:

Ha ha! Yea, it's been years since I've done a "Big Boys".It was a fav when I was a child.. I loved the Big Boy comic books.. Still have some old ones in my stash of childhood stuff.. Then they used to have waitresses who would roller skate your order to your car.. Very cool!! These days the two Bobs in my area host an informal "car show" on Friday nights. Rodders and muscle car enthusiasts come to show off their rides.. Hubby and I show up occasionally and bring one of our supercharged 'Stangs (2 in the stable, soon to be 3) to show off.. Anyway the kids loves cars, and I am trying to share with him happy experiences I remember from my childhood.. Bob's was HUGE then..

Plus why assume that everyone who eats at these establishments is either fat or makes a regular habit of eating this kind of food..

Diva, im English... more importantly im from the north of england... when you read my posts, read them with a light-hearted approach. All my posts will have some form of english cheek about them... its tongue in cheek... not meant to be nasty... just taking the p*** slightly.

Lighten up... (no pun intended... if your a big boy's big girl... oh, av done it again!)

Aaaaah memories! For us it was a Burger King where all the kids would hang out on a Fri/Sat showing off their cars, waiting for somebody to drive up and yell, "Party at So-And-So's house!"

My buddy Mark had a beautiful white 71 convertible Oldsmobile Cutlass... the girls loved that beast!

Nuthin like good ole American heavy metal!!!

One of my BFFs had a pristine '74 Cutlass she got from her big brother.. Gotta love a car that seats 8 comfortably!!!! I'm still partial to the Buick Electra Park Ave (affectionately known as a "Duece and a Quarter")

Re: Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

im sorry you two.. when it comes to cars you Americans have it all wrong.

Yes the **classic **American cars may look nice but they have the engineering complexity of a spoon! How on earth can you have 5lt V8 engine produce so little horse power! Good for one thing, going in a straight line, usually to a a fast food place!

Dont Mustangs have leaf springs?.. like my van...

European or jap engineering is what you want!
You also drive on the wrong side of the road!
