Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

Nevermind, it works! I uninstalled the first version, downloaded the new files, uninstalled again, then re-installed, and now there are watermarks on additional large images. Thanks again!

One more final QC check in progress.. We hope to have this QC check complete and submit the new fileset this weekend..

The readme has been updated and the template files (the source of yesterday's confusion -- sorry about that:blush:) have all been scrubbed..

You will need an image software like Photoshop (or Gimp which is free). You would need to create PNG files which are the same name as the IH2 watermark files and then replace the IH2 watermark files..

DV, could you give a little bit more details on how to create my own watermark files? Will any image file that has transparent background work? Thanks!

I just installed ImageHandler_v2-Rev8b on my newly updated 1.3.9e version of ZenCart.
I've doublechecked all the file locations and tried several times but when I go to Admin > Tools >
there is no ImageHandler to be found at all . . .

Any idea what I have done wrong?

If you are using zc 1.3.9e and changed the name of your admin folder (as recommended)

did you also change the admin folder name the IH2-Rev8b to match the name of your new admin folder name?

That indeed was the issue . . .
though now that Image Handler is installed, it doesn't seem to be what I need to fix my original problem:
When I click on any image in zencart, I get TWO popup windows of the image . . . one in the size I have previously specified (though of course now I can't remember where I made that change) and an additional resized version in some other size I don't want . . .

This upgrade from 1.3.8 to 1.3.9 has been a total nightmare . . . not sure whether to blame my host or zencart or my aging memory . . .

I'm having nightmares going from zencart 1.3.9d to e, and the instructions don't seem to make sense to me:

NOTE:
If you're upgrading from v1.3.9a or b or c or d, you can simply update the files listed in the various "Changelog for v1.3.9b" or "c" or "d" in the /docs/ folder of the download zip.

Why wouldn't you refer to the changelog for version "e"?

But my point is that I got Image Handler Rev8b working correctly in zencart 1.3.9d and you might need to consider installing zencart version "d" and then Image Handler Rev8b until enough people have reported success with the latest zencart 1.3.9e.

I'm unsure whether this would address your duplicate image issue. I'm not an authority on IH2.

To my knowledge the file must be a PNG file, and you would create your own small, medium, and large watermark files named the same as the ones that come with IH2.

I combine the code of additional_images.php from Image Handler and Zencart Lightbox, so that the lightbox effect can work on additional imags. I aslo change the width and height of additional image to match the size of medium images.

But after the merge, I found there was no watermark on my medium-sized additional images. Can anybody show me how to edit the code to put watermark on additional images too (but still having lightbox effect)? Thank you a lot!

I tried the v8c u pm'ed me and it is running smooth on my 1.3.9e with Zen Lightbox. I did have to merge both mod's additional_images.php files, it is working very well so far.

The additional images issue is being addressed in the upcoming release.. (Rev8c will be submitted this weekend to the downloads section)

Cool, now I get you.

I'm not expert on this Mod, but I think the additional images are suppose to be the small images and you have made them a larger size.
I can obviously see the watermark on the Medium and the Large Images, it's just the Small that is missing.

Have you added a (watermark.png) in the images folder? I think that might work for the additional images as that is for the smaller images I think!
Also, go to configuration/images and set the "IH small watermark images" to YES.

I just tried it on my website for you and the additional images watermark showed up fine!

I am facing similar Watermark problem to what Lina is facing.

We have image handler , light box and jqzoom installed.

We upload the images in only one folder eg image/jackets/image.jpg (image_1.jpg, image_2.jpg), we normally do not use the Large and Medium folder.

We have activated the Watermark option for all image, however we only see it on the small images which are on the side boxes.

What should we do to see the watermarks on all image.
