Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

My version of IH is 2.0.

Typically I upload product images through each product's management page, on the same screen where you set the price for a product.

Have you tried deleting one of the product photos and then uploading via IH admin?
You are using just 1 image per product?
What verison is IH?

What is the "shopad" directory in the latest release for? It is included in the 21-Oct-07 download, but doesn't seem mentioned anywhere in the instructions.

Any clue what/why this is included? Is it necessary to upload it?

This is also twice the size of the previous versions.

What actually IS the most current version. The ones here or the ones on the BMZ website?

The most current version is the one posted in Zen-Cart downloads.
I would use the one dated Sep 16 2006 until there is more info on the one with "shopad" folder.

Sorry if this has been covered in the 80 pages on this thread, but I need help with an issue.

I have IH2 installed and it seems to be working, but when I hover over an image I get the IH2 popup, but I also receive the standard tool tip on top of it.

Did I miss something on the install or is there a way to turn the tool tips off?

I can not get my images to show in the categories. it shows at the bottom of my edit category in admin, and also instead of text it show this

Everything was working great - but now my IH2 manager has stopped working - from admin/tools/image handler I get "No Image Handler information found." - if I go into IH Manager to pull up a product, the category shows but then if I use the dropdown it bounces back to IH admin screen.

The only file used by IH that was changed recently was the html_output.php - I added rollover button affects. The site works fine - both IH and rollover buttons but IH2 Admin is not working....

(this is killing me I've got about 50 products with multiple images I need to get loaded)

advice? ideas?

edit: well, at least I can now use the traditional zencart approach of using FTP to add LRG and additional images - whic IH does optimize - this did not work when I initially installed the contribution... I still recommend IH to people but it is quirky....

I just installed IH and as per usual, messed up my site! I'm getting the following messages in the admin:

I downloaded IH2 today on an existing site with products and everthing seems to look as it should on the admin side - (menu, product listings, additional images). However, on the live site, no additional images are showing up. I've tried reloading them, but no luck.

Originally, I loaded one image size(the largest) and let the admin tool resize to the necessary sizes. So all my products are named(for example) shoe.jpg, shoe_back.jpg, shoe_front.jpg, etc.

All images show in the admin side, but those with the _tags.jpg on the end don't appear in the site, and there is no changes to how the pop-up displays. I'm sure it's a simple fix, but there's such a mountain of information in this thread I'm going blind searching for the answer....Any help, please?

installation seems fine..But i don't get zoon effect on mouse over.
Only error i faced when installed was that .keep file was unable to upload to server.
Is this causing problem?

i GOT FEW DOUBTS:

1. Do need to upload all the image files one more time?
2. After installation do need to do anything extra?

Will the zoom work only for featured/ special products?? doesn't work for all products?? or sub categories?

We have a unique situation and see it is linked to Image Handler.

We have 1 major category. Then under this category sub categories. Under one of these sub categories, we have another sub category.

Just recently I added a new item under this 2nd level sub category. I used Image Handler to add the image this 2nd level sub category disappeared. (When we add images we only add 1 image for the small and 1 image for the large. We do not use the medium. )

Now when I say disappeared, you could see the 2nd level sub category on the site but when you click on it you get a PAGE NOT FOUND error and the sitemap is displayed.

We removed all the images from the products on this 2nd level sub category (except from 1 product) and this 2nd level sub category shows PERFECTLY.

We can add images to each product in this 2nd level sub category if we do it inside of the product editing area. When we add the images here we do not get the Image Handler light box effect and the 2nd Level sub category DOES show.

Ex. of 2nd Level Subcategory.

Accessories (Main Level)--->Adhesives (1st level sub category)---> Tapes (2nd level sub category)--->Individual Product Listings

If we create another 2nd Level Sub Category with a different or same name "Tapes" and move the Individual Product Listings into this new 2nd level sub category, the items do not display. However, it will still show from the main page as being an active and "in use" category.

I hope this makes sense.

You did not upload all the files for IH.
Your missing the jscript_imagehover.js file that should be in your templates/AB_TPL/jscript folder.
For your additional images your not using the correct naming scheme.
You have a product called "Charlotte City Clog".
So if the main product image is named CharlotteClog.jpg then all additional images for that product has to be named:
CharlotteClog_01.jpg
CharlotteClog_02.jpg
CharlotteClog_03.jpg
CharlotteClog_04.jpg
You have to use this naming scheme if your uploading using ftp.
If you use IH to upload images for a product, IH will auto rename the images correctly.

A link to your site will help....
But the chances are good that you did not upload all the files needed for IH.
Did you upload the jscript_imagehover.js file that should be in your templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/jscript folder?

Sounds like your talking about 2 different mods, IH and Light Box.
Which one was installed first and did everything work right before installing the other mod?
With IH you only have to upload "1" image.
