Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

I was waiting to see if all things behaved with this update to IH2 and mainly to see if there were many files to change out or edit to work with lightbox and private area.

I have not had this problem before the latest update---do not get me wrong I am not talking down about the updates...very needed and being only human things do go wrong from time to time.

However this time only Safari and Google were affected as I said now they just have the IH2 image floating at the top of the page so it looks like there is no hover image at all.

About those links you posted...I use model number/names also but I do not add them to the name of the image. I do put the name down below where the model name is listed in the description page but without ANY non letter/number characters.... gl-mavkadress like that

I do use brackets in the actual name of the product to signify what item the textures are for but they do not bother any other aspect of the description or images.

Maybe they need to remove the brackets and only use the model numbers in the proper place and not the images??

Just a thought is all...for we all put our shops the way we like them to be.

It's starnge as I can only find this problem on the reviews page which apperas to use the same code to fetch image as other pages

That is strange since I checked the actual items on the reviews page where there are actual reviews and it did not show up...but it is there on the product without a review...maybe something got left out in the coding of that cart file??

I forgot to ask , how did you come up with that link since the reviews link only goes to actual reviews?

I have read through most of the thread here. Hats off to everyone helping out.

I have a couple of specific symptoms - and would like to know if the specific actions will work for me.

I have the lightbox 1.5 working well in default locations in my store. Lightbox opens properly, shows the caption, and the close icon, using IE7. Same as Firefox.

In the EZ pages, the caption is not showing up - which is OK - because i haven't put it there. :-)

I also have a pop up window that shows my graphics - and have installed the lightbox there as well. I'm playing around with the captions - I've finally gotten one caption to show up - but the close button has never shown up here. Any clue why? and how I can get it to show up? the close button shows up on ezpages and on the product info page.

Additionally - I'm having issues with chrome and safari,
pics don't show up in the lightbox.
With chrome - not at all.
With safari - product info page works great, and ez pages works great. I get no image on my special popup page.

I'm so confused after reading the last 50 pages or so of this thread - is it possible to coalesce the two issues into a couple of posts?

Once that's done, I'll be happy to create a document or two for the updates/changes needed. :-)

Got one part taken care of - once I re-re-re-re-re read the post above...:shocking:

Now onward to the "close" button.

For anyone else that finally discovers they or their customers have a problem with their stores lightbox in google chrome:

go here - http://mootools.net/download

and download the file - MooTools Core 1.3 with compatibility

Go to this post

and find near the bottom and download the slimbox.zip file

unzip the the slimbox.zip file and upload the slimbox.php file to \includes\classes\zen_lightbox, replacing the existing one.

Open the MooTools Core 1.3 file in a text editor. Highlight and copy the code, then paste the code into the two files (removing the code that's in them)

/includes/templates/Your_Template/jscript/
zen_lightbox_mootools_custom.js
zen_lightbox_mootools_default.js*

This works for me also, but this switch :

(Close on Image Click =True)

in the admin is broken, I tried dropping it back into the slimbox code (<?php if (ZEN_LIGHTBOX_CLOSE_IMAGE == 'true') ), but it did not help. Not a huge deal. I hope that is the only problem it causes.

Any ideas?

Is there anyway to disable lightbox for certain products? I don't need it for my 'gift certificates' product. Is lightbox built to be available for each and every product_info thumbnail, or can the lightbox/popup image effect be controlled for individual products? thanks..

I guess they haven't full checked their site to know they have this problem.

Thanks for contribute fix, but after I follow buildingblocks's method. I clicked on image, it shows up image in self window, no lightbox effect anymore. If I replay "zen_lightbox_mootools_custom.js", "zen_lightbox_mootools_default.js" with original files, lightbox shows up, but still can't work in chrome. How can I do now?

also, I use chrome to view stevekane's pages, some of them work fine, but some still can't work. Does somebody has same situation?

I arrived at this link from a RSS feed (rss_feed_2-1-4) with a 'comments' link such as this (test site)

Since originaly posting I have not been able to arrive at this page from within the cart itself as yet. So maybe this page is not availble from the cart and I need to mod the RSS feeds to pioint the 'commets' link to a different page.

I have only been 'playing' with Zen Cart for a couple of weeks and still trying to find my way round it.

At no cannot work out why I have two buy now button on my product pages

I have this problem as well...unwanted product code to the left of the main image, within the #productMainImage div eg. [wlap-potpourri]"> where wlap-potpourri is the actual product code and the rest is unwanted residual markup. Have been digging but yet to find a fix...I noticed that the upgrade to v1.3 was supposed to fix this. BTW you get to this page by entering a product review.

I'm using IH v2_0-Rev8c, zen_lightbox-v1.5-20081218, and zen-cart-v1.3.9e.

Any suggestions most welcome! Thanks for all the useful posts BTW.

One more issue to pan out When my products are priced by attributes I can not get the extra images to load or show up. any ideas? When I first installed this mod I added the highlighted remark to the top of the install.sql file:

This little note has helped me to avoid your problem for future installs in other stores. You may want to do the same.

I installed this after I installed IH2, I forgot that they shared a file in modules and have now got the lightbox installed showing in admin bit not really working correctly, when i select the larger image it opens the box but theres no image showing.

How can I correct this?
Will I need to uninstall and reinstall?

Hello all,

Installed the Chrome fixes as noted here but I am having the same issues as ccbearyeh and the lightbox does not work. The picture opens up in the same page now and requires you to back button to the product. Any ideas? I can restore things back to the way they where, but I really would like this to work in Chrome. Mozilla is having major issues with Windows seven and memory leaks.

Has anyone been able to customize the size of the image window that pops up? Some of my uploaded pictures are quite large and they fill the screen with lightbox. Is there a way to limit how large the images are when the open?

Finally it works.
I tried mootools 1.3 / slimbox.zip fix several times without success
Then, in a snowy unsleeping night, I found in /includes/templates/CUSTOM_TEMPLATE/jscript/slimbox I had 2 files (maybe from previous unsuccessful tries?):

mootools-release-1.11.slim.js.original.slimbox
and
mootools-release-1.11.slim.js

I tried to rename mootools-release-1.11.slim.js to mootools-release-1.11.slim.js.test.backup and mootools-release-1.11.slim.js.original.slimbox to tomootools-release-1.11.slim.js

Then I tried to re-apply mootools 1.3 / slimbox.zip fix

It worked like a charm!!!! Thanks all you guys (and gals too)

Hi Guys - i've had a read through some of the back pages but i'm having trouble with this mod. It looks like its going to work - starts to show the lightbox then just opens the image full screen. I've checked, checked and checked again that the files are in the right places.

I've checked the permissions of the files too. I've had another lightbox work before which stopped working.. i thought it was the same as this one but could that be causing the issues?

When i installed the patch i tried it in zc_admin and it said 4 statements run and didn't warn that any didnt. I did also try running it through phpadmin but it said configuration_table does not exist?

Any ideas?
