Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

Just thought I would say that my lightbox is now working in Chrome. Didn't do anything to fix it that I know of - so yay!

LOL scamp, I noticed that the few sites I visited, including my own now have the lightbox working. Maybe google got wind of it and fixed it?

Well here's a strange thing. Both page_2 and page_3 are broken. Any changes made to both are not shown when the page is displayed. In fact no change occurs even if both the original and the template copies are deleted. I created a new page called gallery and it all works just fine. Thanks for your help but the problem lies outside this mod. Keep up the good work!

well followed the link again and lo and behold there were images...lol

viewing the page source I see the mention of the link for the lightbox for each individual image but nowhere else is the mention for the jscript of it.

is the gallery part of your store or is it a different software.

The gallery is integrated within the site. The link you clicked last was the index of the gallery folder which should be included in page_2, it will show the thumbnails but not work in a lightbox as the links to the javascript are not related to this page but page_3.

Here is the working gallery with the new page created http://131.103.66.217/index.php?main_page=gallery as you can see, all working fine so the problem is somewhere with the define page_2 and page_3 code. I'm leaving fixing those on hold for now, other things to do before the site goes live.

Hi all. This is an awesome mod. It took me a little to get working right, but now I'm after just that little bit more out of it.

I have copied the 'jscript_zen_lightbox.php' file to '/includes/modules/pages/login' and '/includes/modules/pages/contact_us' but I am still getting the old pages loading. Is there something that i'm overlooking here? Any help would be appreciated.

do you have images on the login and contact us pages? It won't change the look it is just supposed to allow the lightbox effect on the images there...I am fairly sure but someone will correct me if I am wrong

Ahhhh, dumb dumb dumb. I was under the impression that it would do the whole page hence why I thought it would look good if I could get the login page to do it.

Maybe you can help me again. I had lightbox working perfectly, then I added a new template. I went in and added the lightbox folders to all the new template directories like I did the first time. Now Lightbox works, but it doesnt show the additional images. Just the main one. Any suggestions?

Is it a paid theme from somewhere else? It kind of depends on the theme...I found that some paid themes won't play nice with this lightbox due to their own jscripting throughout.

Yup it does look like the ones that I was speaking of. They also had that flash type of item on their main page. There is a lightbox that works with it and what you need to do is uninstall the one you have now --- uninstall the SQL also --- remove all files associated with it.

Then download the lightbox zip. I do not know if linking to is permitted since it is off site so pm or email me

you delete all the files for lightbox you uploaded, then you use the uninstall sql to remove the lightbox totally.

See the main reason that some of those themes don't work is that they are custom made and mixup the code to suit their purposes. They also have no idea what add-ons a person has installed so sometimes the files they send are overwriting the files that have the coding...like in this case the lightbox files.

that is the only hard part of this software...the add-ons and playing nice with custom themes.

I sometimes use double quotes in my Item Name. This item name shows up fine in the store. When viewing the item with Lightbox JS (large image) it truncates these strings when I have a double quote in them? Any ideas?

I use an asterick also and sometime a double one and it hasn't done that...sooo

could it be the length of the name or does it do it with all names

what is the size of the popup image?

Thank you so much for all your work. Instructions were easy to follow and it worked like a dream.

For interest sake... this was installed on a TemplateMonster template and there are no problems with it running at all.

Great mod. I would like to use on the index.php page, located at the root of the directory, zen-cart-v1.3.8a-full-fileset-12112007. Currently, I have installed only image there using the Admin - Catlog - Catagories/Product method of image insertion. Will this mod work if placed in zen-cart-v1.3.8a-full-fileset-12112007, where the hub file, index.php is located?

I hope the mod can be used from the location, http://images.webhosting.com/catalog/zen-cart-v1.3.8a-full-fileset-12112007adminfolder/categories.php?cPath=65_66&pID=180. This is where the index page comes into play.

 I just uploaded this module to 2 of my sites. The first one it worked great and looked really good. The second one I got an error when I uploaded the sql query.

This is the error I got:

Success 4 statements processed.
Error ERROR: Cannot insert configuration_key "" because it already exists
Warning Note: 1 statements ignored. See "upgrade_exceptions" table for additional details.

Under configuration in my admin the Zen Lightbox also comes up empty.

Not sure what to do about this and I would appreciate any help I can get.
