Cherry Zen Template Support Thread

The logo image is what I was talking about. the logo is in the center and there is white space on either side of it which I think are the sideboxes? So I was wondering if there is a way to make the logo go all the way across the top?

Sure, in the stylesheet.css again. You can adjust the size alloted for the image. You will have to edit your logo graphic and make it the minimum size of the page.

You will find that you can do allot by just changing a few lines in the stylesheet. I have allot to learn yet myself. :yes:

Thanks for creating Cherry Zen - its a really nice template. It's working nicely on 1.3.8 apart from the issue that I can't see a number of sideboxes that should be there according to layout boxes controller.

I however only get the categories sidebox and the shipping cart sidebox when there's product in the cart. The ones I really need is the languages and information sideboxes. I do get these sideboxes in other themes.

Any suggestions where to look? Here an extract of layout boxes controller setting.

Tested some more and found that currencies_header should be OFF. Don't understand exactly why but problem fixed!

This one really should be easy. I've searched this thread as much as I can and I think I'm doing it correctly but I must be missing something simple. I've inherited supporting this webstore and am still working my way through some modifications the owner is looking for.

Right now I'm merely trying to replace the existing
/public_html/includes/templates/cherry_zen/images/logo.jpg with a modified logo.jpg. Currently when I look at the site https://www.reneeshouseofquilting.net the original store logo.jpg shows up just fine. I noticed that the default is actually logo.gif, I'm assuming that the original tech must have modified the header.php to allow *.jpg's. When I rename the existing (and working) logo.jpg on the server to oldlogo.jpg and drop in the new logo.jpg I get a broken link upon refreshing the page. The two files are exactly the same size in pixels/inches, resolution, size, etc.

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thanks!

In Cherry Zen, 2 quick questions on layout:
Where the Name Price, Model Number, Manufacturer is displayed how can I get the product description displayed at this point rather than under the attribute box,
also
can I insert after the rpice a description of the packing,i.e.
Packed 50

if answer is yes, after choosing price, then another otipn is displayed:
line 1..................
line 2.....................
line 3.....................

So the grid/column layout that comes up when you do a product listing, is that a separate module? Is there any way I can use that module separately with my existing template - or do I have to use it with Cherry Zen? Is there a generic module available? Thanks!

Why don't you view the source of the section you want to replicate, copy that source, paste it in the ezpage, then change the images and links?

I know I am probably the culprit here, I changed the left and right side column width in the admin to 165 and messed with the width in the stylesheet.css and now and only with IE6 the contents of the left column drops down to below the center box content.

Its just using the default link colors setup in the stylesheet. So, just make the color what you want:

.sideBoxContent a {color:#ffffff;}
.sideBoxContent a:hover {color:#ffffff;}

The site changes size, depending on the width of the browser window. Logo's can't do that. So my suggestion is to make the background behind the logo (#logoWrapper) a color that is in the logo, so it "seems" to go all the way across.

Otherwise, you need to make a bigger logo, and/or make the site a static width.

I can help you with the first one, the second option would be a good question for the general forum.

Open up includes/templates/cherry_zen/templates/tpl_product_info_display.php, and try moving the chunks around. The product display page is controlled in that file, and it is very well organized and easy to change the order. Save a copy of the original first though.
