Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

cant get IH to work as i need it!

i have it installed on my site and it works for all item i add one by one! how ever i have just copied a large number of items (190) from another site using easy populate. i have then copied the images over from one site to the other and in the right folder.

problem is i now have no product or catogory images for any items or catogories!

ive tried the clear image cashe button and that doesn't work. if i remove IH from database using the button in admin all my images return :D

if i reinstall IH they all disappear again!

do i have t wait for IH to go through everyimage on the new items etc and figger it out or what??

IH2 zoom worked before installing Lightbox; now does not work. Otherwise, IH working as it is resizing pics (primary thing.)

Saw couple posts on Lightbox thread asking about lack of IH zoom, did not see follow-up.

Any ideas on problem?

Problem solved.

How do I get the popup windows to auto size so that the images always show up without scrolling or making the window larger?

Image Handler 2 and Image Swap via Mouseover are two excellent addons. However, for the life of me I cannot figure out why they won't work together???

Why is it that when Image Handler is enabled, the JavaScript rollover function in Image Swap ceases? Surely, someone has come across this problem. Has anyone even the most remote clue to this mystery?

I'm testing with 1.3.8 and the latest versions of each addon...

If you were following this thread and checking fixes as they came out you won't see anything new.
Except that tophand's version of jscript_imagehover.js is not there, and some useless folders like shopad have not been corrected.
If nobody takes a shot at it, I am going to compile the best versions of files, trim the clutter, and send an updated version for review.

I am having some trouble with this add-on and would appreciate some help.

I have only recently (last week) installed Zen-Cart v1.3.8. I have also installed a couple of add-ons mainly the Column Layout Grid, Single Listing Page and Minimum Order.

I downloaded the lastest version for this add-on from the downloads area and everything worked straight away except the zoom box. I read through the last 60 pages of this thread to see if I could find the answer. All files were in the right spot (including the common misplaced css and js files). In the end I installed the optional extra folder and instantly it started to work (just wanted to add this in case others have the same problem).

The issue I currently have is that I have added more than one image for a product and these additional images do not display.

My site is located at: http://tinyurl.com/l547ke. Remember it is full of test info as I have only just started putting it together. The page I have linked to should have two images shown. There is a box down the very bottom which only shows when a product has more than one image so I assume that this is where the additional image should go?

Any help at what to look at would be appreciated.

Ckosloff, I have seen the magic you do so go ahead and do your voodoo and make this better.

I asked this before so maybe you have an answer. How do you get your pop-up windows to auto size?

What intrigued me were the additions to the instructions.. They were a bit confusing.. However, after messing around with this on my test store, I figured out that the additions to the instructions were referring to the files in that "optional" folder and that it appeared that no real core changes had been made.. So I copied the files in the "optional" folder over to my test store, and not only did the product image layout get wacky looking, but my lightbox stopped working correctly.. (it left out all of for my main product image files) Took me a bit, but I backed out the new files, and righted my lightbox add-on..

Do you mean "larger image?

I noticed that the watermark is the deafult one. You'll need to find the watermark.pngs in the contribution and make them your own. Upload them to the proper directories.

Toy Genie is more suitable to your store.

There is a missing image next to the "Genie" and its link take you home.

Missing - /includes/templates/template_default/images/logo.png

Since your template looks complete, try uploading a clear 1x1 logo.png into plates/template_default/images/logo.png

Then in the welcome emails, newsletters, invoices, etc, make sure your logo is correct.

Webskipper - Yes, the larger image that is displayed when you rollover an image. I have not made any customisations to this add-on at this stage like the watermark etc, just trying to get the basics working and I can see that the watermark is working. I spent 6 hrs trying to get it going. I am getting close just need to figure out how to get the additional images to display.

The logo error I know about as I just deleted the file as it came with the template, I will be putting my own customised one up soon. Will make sure it looks right in the email/invoices - thanks.

The only thing that has intrigued me and not sure if it relates to the problem, is that in the instructions it mentions about been careful when uploading files to your customer template "you need to merge these files (popup_image_additional/tpl_main_page.php in particular) with those of your custom template" - This folder "popup_image_additional" did not exist in my custom folder - should it have?

i still cant seem to get IH2 to work on my site. I have it installed on 3 other site fine but for some reason my 4th site aint working. Just shows missing immage sign. If i unistall IH2 from the admin all the images come back so its defo IH2 probelm.

Tried uninstall/remove from database from admin and clear image cache and look for old images and nothing works. Any idea.

I also made sure the bmz directory was set to 777

I have solved my problem and the additional images are now displaying.

I copied the add-on file \includes\modules\additional_images.php into my \includes\modules\MYTHEME folder and it now works.

Will do a file compare to see what is different with the custom template version but at least I can now see it.

(Clearly we're voting for you to do this huh??:smile:) Except for the dates, it's not terribly clear by the version numbers whether or not there is something new.. The real exception is yellow's update earlier this year which his/her notes makes it clear that somethig did indeed change..

BTW.. I'll be happy to help vith documentation if you need a hand.. (I write functional specification documents among other similar types of docs as a part of my "normal" my day job.. so I'd be happy to help out on that score if you need/want the help..:smile:)

The 07/16/2009 version appears to mess up Fual Lightbox if you install it after the Fual lightbox is installed.. I'll test this again, but last night I was playing around with the 07/16/2009 version of IH2. When I installed it over Fual Ligtbox, the stock popup replaced the lightbox effect when clicking the main product image.. When I copied back over the Fual Lightbox, and deleted the template file from the "extras" folder, everything went back to normal..

Regarding the other topic, I am sure that you are referencing Fual Slimbox. I never used that mod, am not acquainted with it, so cannot help you much there.
Anyway, I might take it for a ride on a test site and see if I can reproduce the issues that you are having.

does anyone know why I already successfully added the image in admin but they are not appeared on the shop (not the first one, I mean about the second, the third. etc...) ? It just happens to some products but not to all...Please advice.

I believe the files in the extra folder are the culprit which hosed my Fual Lightbox install.. I will have to back out all of the IH2 files from my test shop and try re-installing again to see if I can reproduce the exact same issue to be sure.. So I will keep you posted..

But I do believe it was the files in the "extra" folder that hosed the lightbox.. What it did was prevent the lightbox from even seeing the main product image.. So not only did the main propduct image ONLY open using a popup window instead of the lightbox, and on any products that had extra product images the lightbox would display all images but the main product image..

The other gentlemen I believe is using the latest version of IH2 with the Fual Lightbox and I believe he installed the files in that "extra" folder too..
