Now you know.
Regarding yellow, he is a wonderful person, still have to clean up his version.

ckosloff:

Now you know.shrugs Oh well.. though I'd love to have EVERYONE love me:hug:.. It's just not possible..

Bottomline is that guy got bent out of shape because I didn't agree with him.. I wasn't trying to stop him from submitting his mod. I'm not undermining him now.. I was merely of the opinion that his changes should be offered as a COMPLETELY seperate download with documentation that it was meant to be a SUPPLEMENT to IH2. (Very much like the Dynamic Dropdowns mod is to Stocks by Attributes -- not EVERYONE needs or want thos features) My reasons were simple.. Some folks install these mods without knowing fully what is in the package.. The files in that "extras folder" are not fully documented as to what they will do or even that it may not be compatible with other mods.. (Like Lightbox contribs..) I was installing to a test store so no harm no foul.. Others may not be as lucky.. Anyway.. MOOOOOVING ON!!!

ckosloff:

Regarding yellow, he is a wonderful person, still have to clean up his version.Well my offer to help with documentation still stands.. Let me know what you need from me..

Let me know what you need from me..
I will try to get up a clean version next week, what I need after that is testing.
I can test on my machines, but my resources are limited, need more machines and more testers.
Thanks for the help, and please welcome any other Zenner that wants to jump in.

ckosloff:

You are getting that because you are updating the same file or saving the same file twice.
Just get out of there, restart Admin, and add a NEW file, chose the default, browse to location, then save.
It happens to me too when my fingers are overweight or too tired, it is not an error, just a warning the program sends.

tried it again and still got that message... i dont even see what you are talking about when you say... "chose the default, browse to location, then save."

You mean the main image? It's not supposed to hover, unless you want to get into testing the "extras".

Happy to help with testing..
You will regret that you uttered those words.
I got the pre-alpha version of the new IH2 for ZC 1.3.8a.
I have checked all the files, cleaned all the clutter, removed the documentation (that will be DV's job), included tophand's version of jscript_imagehover.
To the best of my ability this is the latest and best version of ZC core files.
There are still problems...I have never got the Admin to test files correctly, have looked at many fixes in the thread but none seemed to work.
Still did not test this with Fual Slimbox, the "extras" I will do further down the road.
However, this version has been thoroughly tested in my live and test sites with Zen Lightbox and it works flawlessly.
I regret that I cannot add the package as an attachment, the file size exceeds the allocation of the forum, but feel free to PM me and I will send it over email to anybody interested.
I welcome all suggestions.

Can't take credit for jscript_imagehover. It was someone else fix.
I just keep it around so it don't get lost.

Thanks for taking the time to clean up, something I wanted to do for a while but too busy with life.

Tophand,
I would greatly appreciate that you review this version.
Please send your email over PM and I will send the zip.
Any suggestion for improvement will be considered.

I am a newbie
new zenner
windows xp
just starting for my site is on my computer

I would like to apologise if this has been asked or if it is way too stupid - but to read 424 pages of posting is a little donting. I probably will eventually tho.

I have downloaded IH2 - it is zipped - in a folder by itself.

in what location do I unzip this folder in order for it to work properly with zencart?

Do i move the folder first and then unzip?

TIA
TY divavocals - I have done that -
I am so sorry if this is stupid but -
I was going to copy it into my custom folder of the zencart- i thinkthat is where it would go-
however there are folders named the same - will they overwrite these? is that is what is suppose to occur? I am afraid of doing something stupid and causing no end of problem - have not gotten my mind around this program yet but it is coming. TY soo much.

You should start by building a test site, you can do all sorts of things to that without fear of breaking your live.

Re: Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

my site is on my computer - and believe me I have broken things and have taken weeks to straighten them out. So please forgive me if I am a tad frightened.

So where does thes get copied?
If you can varify the folder It is muchly appreiciate. I am thinking
htdocs/myfolder/
and am I correct to say that the admin and images gets overwritten?

Great, so what is the problem?
Use free 7zip to compress all the files and store in some dated backup folder.
Do same with phpmyadmin, export database and store in same folder.
Then you can destroy your site, you will always be able to restore from backup.
Regarding the IH2 install, you may be aware that I am finishing a new version that will solve lots of problems.
Just be patient.

Just wanted to publicly acknowledge that ckosloff has done a GREAT thing in tackling the IH2 cleanup.. The upcoming version (Code Name: Image Handler v2.0 rev 7) is leaner and meaner, and the version numbering for IH2 starting with this version will follow a more formalized version numbering standard that previous versions didn't quite have.. I hope community will be as pleased with this version as I am.. ckosloff has made a good thing nicer IMHO..

Hi

Was wondering if you may have the answer to this question.
I just added some ring mountings to my website.
When the product is scrolled over I would like the LARGE image not medium to pop up! I am wondering if this can be done yet!

Here is a link for you to look at:
http://exquisitegems.org/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=34&products_id=145

If the large image cannot pop up how about the medium. I have spent a couple of hours tonight looking for the answer and have not found it!I hope you don't mind, but I'm posting this here in the hopes that others who post in this thread have a suggested solution to your question.. Plus it benefits the community when we share the questions and answers here..

One question.. The large image hover is not standard IH2 behavior.. Are you using the latest version with the "Optional Extras" installed?? (It will be useful for anyone who might be able to offer assistance..)

So it all works now?? (I hope I hope..)

All works for me now! Wow that was simple (after getting my head round all the folders and checking I've backed up any original files)!

I had the mod installed by Judy Gunderson who I am having a hard time contacting. Can you please tell me how to look to see if the folder with the extras was installed in my original download.

You would need to download IH2, can compare the files in the mod to the files on your site.. You would need to look at the "Optional Extras" folder in particular..

I've read good things about Judy Gunderson. Is she not returning phone calls/e-mails??

Can this be done in image handler? This is where I seen the code and it seems that it changes the picture to a video with a click of the play button, this would be a very useful tool. link is here
