Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

Yep.. I am pretty sure it's the files inthe "extras" folder that hosed my Fual Lightbox install on my test store.. I'd neverhad a problem with IH2 and Fual Lightbox..

I would like to apologise if this has been asked or if it is way too stupid - but to read 424 pages of posting is a little donting. I probably will eventually tho.

I have downloaded IH2 - it is zipped - in a folder by itself.

in what location do I unzip this folder in order for it to work properly with zencart?

Do i move the folder first and then unzip?

well i done a total fresh install of all the files anf folders and checked everything and all uploaded etc i have then installed the mod through abmin etc and it shows its installed etc but the site its self dont show inmage.

in admin under the oreview button on IH2 i get the following error

this is on a test site/subdomian before i put the site live! pm me and il can send a link!

I've just tried installing imagehandler 2 and the entire site stops working! It just loads a white screen. Bit by bit I tried removing parts, and found it's the extrafunctions/functions_bmz_image_handler.php that is crashing it. When i rename that so it can't be seen it loads fine.

Any ideas? Does this mean my hosting company don't support it?

So, I just removed all the files and put the old ones back. Now I noticed that all the main product images aren't showing. On inspection it now looks like they are looking for 'image_MED.jpg'. I'm sure they weren't before. Is there a way I can put this back to normal? I had a look under Admin>Configuration>Images and places like that but I can't see any options like that.

See if that file is in your templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates folder. If it is delete it and see if things go back to normal..

TIAUnzip the file, and read through the readme file.. Installation instructions are there.. HTH..

That file isn't in my templates folder. Maybe I'll have to overwrite the site with my backup version, when I've finished playing, and if I can't get this version to work

Just added all the files (Thanks Diva) but although the shop loads fine, I can't access admin. I just get the following errors:

Sorry! Fixed it! In the confusion of which folders are being overwritten etc, and trying to be good about making backups, I hadn't copied some of the files!! Oops!

This is the version yellow1912 posted and that has been reproduced verbatim by last updater, with the addition of the still untested extras.
That version also needs cleanup (shopad, etc.), but is definitely less risky than the latest.
Anyway, I can now understand why the gentleman who posted the update hates you so much, you are undermining him!

Honestly that "extras folder" should have been bundled up as a seperate add-on that requires Image Handler to work. Similar to how Dynamic Dropdowns for Stock by Attributes works. Dynamic Dropdowns is an add-on that requires Stock By Attributes to be installed to work.

Now that I'm reading the documentation that came with the current version it appears you are right.. The lastest version takes yellow1912's version and adds on that "extras folder"..

So all I can say is "my apologies".. I'm TRULY not trying to undermine anyone at all.. I am simply sharing what I know based on issue I experienced when installing the latest version of IH2 available in the downloads section.. I experienced issues and it appears others are having issues as well.. I am lucky that I am testing this on a test store so no real harm no foul for me..

You are getting that because you are updating the same file or saving the same file twice.
Just get out of there, restart Admin, and add a NEW file, chose the default, browse to location, then save.
It happens to me too when my fingers are overweight or too tired, it is not an error, just a warning the program sends.
