It's worth the phone call because stuff like that happens. If they swear that they haven't made any changes, at least you can eliminate that from the list of possible causes.

If you have no answers there try re-uploading all the IH2 files again, and triple check the image files you are using - Make sure they are 100% solid jpg files and check to see that they have the correct file permissions, set to 755.

And if none of that works, you can always back up and re-apply IH2 from scratch.

Maybe someone else has some input on your errors...?

Thanks so much for your replies. Ive got dreamhost looking into it, and Ive already tried reloading the IH2 files once already with no luck.

Yes mrmeech I read the entire thread from start to end yesterday. Its asked a lot, but rarely given an answer.

Does Image Handler work with the Opera Web Browser as the images on my site ( https://www.darkrealmfox.com ) don't seem to show larger images when you hover over them using the Opera browser but work with other browsers.

I have installed image handler2 & looks to be installed ok, but the problem is that when the pop up pic that is produced when you hoover over the original one is only a little bit bigger, how do I make the new popup image bigger?

Product Info pages use (IH) Medium size images so...
Configuration --> Images --> Product Info--Image Width
And
Configuration --> Images --> Product Info--Image Height
You can set either width/height with a "0" which will allow the image to scale proportional.

My apologies if this has been dealt with before, I've tried searching the threads with no luck so far.

I uploaded IH yesterday to one of my sites and while the image hovers all work, whenever I add an additional image via IH it displays the thumb but doesn't open up, it just hangs there. When I FTP the image it works. The images are all going in the same file whether I FTP them or upload via IH.

I'm using Lightbox and Ultimate SEO URLs, in case any of these might make a difference. I have Lightbox and IH on another site and they seem to work fine.

I hate to repost but does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?

Have you tried uninstalling Ultimate SEO URLs?
Maybe Ultimate SEO URLs doesn't play nice with IH.

Image handler & ultimate seo works lovely togther I've being using this combo since 1.26 and have used it on every version of zen since 1.3. However you MUST install seo before image handler, don't know why but it can go in a huff if it isn't done this way.

Ok. I have been experiencing the same problem with my additional images not showing. So I have read the threads and have narrowed it down to the culprit being Zen Light Box. This file that is uploaded with the Zen Light Box module is the problem: additional_images.php

I removed the altered file and now my additional images are showing up. They don't get the wow factor of the light box but the additional image is working and the main image does get to use the light box feature.

So if anyone can look at the additional_images.php file that is loaded with Zen Light Box to see where the hick up is that would be great.

This fixed it for me anyway. Try it and see.

It was long, long, ago, but I used IH and Lightbox in the same install with NO problems, what-so-ever. You might try using WinMerge to merge the two. Just an idea. Gotta go for a while. Let us know if this helps (hope so). If not, when I get back, we'll compare mine with yours, and see if we can spot the difference.

I've got this installed on two sites and have the same issue on both. It seems to work fine on some pages but not others. For example, http://www.zen-cart.com/modules/ipb/index.php?showtopic=46701

IH2 works on the images in the upsell and cross sell boxes at the bottom of the page but not on the product image. On the home page, IH2 does not on the images in the best sellers box but it works on the images on the category pages.

I assume it's supposed to work on the product image, right?

My admin folder is renamed for security reasons but having problems now with an installed image handler 2 ( installed it after renaming admin folder )

Nothing works and my site has gone down on me after the install to boot.

I can't upload images using image handler and of course site is down completely. I figure i need to rename some things in certain files of the image handler but what files need changed ?

Did your site go down after renaming the admin folder? As I recall, you need to edit both configure.php files with your new admin folder name.

No it went down after installing Image Handler 2 ( admin area was already re-named at this point and i was very careful to insert each file into their respective folders and used the latest version of Image Handler - it did install correctly but main site went down and only the admin area worked although image handler kept putting up php errors when i tried uploading images using it )

New problem - I renamed back to Admin as i wondered if this was the cause and it still didn't work so i took all the files of image handler out of the system and replaced a few files with the original template default and arch shopper original files which image handler went over --- argghhhh the site is STILL down yet the admin area works perfectly.

It's strange why this is happening but i guess i'm going to have to use yesterdays backup and add 2 hours of work to get back to where i was today.

Thank god i'm not live yet ( although working on a live site as i have the SSL certificate installed and Live Help! etc etc )

I will have another go at installing image handler again once the backups complete....I got it working first time last week before installing easy populate corrupted the whole site and whoosh there went 300 products and images, meta tags, site logo's etc and i started from scratch 2 days ago and stayed up 36 hours getting it back to normal ( minus stock ) anyways i prefer inserting one product at a time now as it's easier to configure the way you want.

Still confused as to what happened with image handler this time round and i think i'll re download it before newly installing.

Ok.. I've been through all 244 pages of this support thread, and I'm not seeing my problem, perhaps I'm missing it, my eyes kind of glazed over around number 100... :cry:

I've installed this image handler on several websites, and not had a problem with it before...

When I upload all the files for the image handler.. everything works just fine, but when I go to install it in the admin, everything in my main content area goes away... everything! Not just the images... has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it..??

I'm running version 1.3.7 with a custom template, PHP Version: 4.4.8, GD, no ImageMagick... I think that's all anyone would need to know... :huh:
