Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

**Hi evrbd,

Firstly I would like to say that this forum is really helpfull.

I my second Zen shop IM2 works OK, but in my first I got a problem.

In preview in HM2 configuration menu I recieve following message:**

And all images are not showing. When I try to and picture to product I get following message:

Unable to upload default image file.

Please - help :)) (nothing extraordinary):smile:
There was one Reply to this message from Scenic, that suggested that his/her server had neither GD nor ImageMagick installed. But, Scenic replied that it was working fine, on the same server, on another ZC installation.

To the best of my knowledge (doing a Search on Scenic’s name and on the error message text), nobody has since Replied.

Scenic, if you’re still there, did you ever get it to work right?

I’m having the same problem with mine, but the weird thing is, it’s intermittent. Sometimes the whole Main Home Page complete with dozens of pictures in the various centerboxes and sideboxes will display just fine. Other times the error message will appear once, twice, or even ½ a dozen times or more, and when that happens, an equal number of images in the section below where the error message shows will be blank.

ZenCart Admin Panel | Tools | Server/Version Info includes this text:

So, I assume that GD is indeed installed, especially since IH² works just fine most of the time.

Why is this happening? We have to go live on this site Monday! It cannot go live in this condition!

What with the Zooming effect? It on but no zooming is happening.

I have reinstalled 2 twice but its not coming back :(

I did do something, I have the admin profiles mod installed and I actually gave and then removed the image handler permissios to another usr and poof! no more hover effect!

A funny thing is that it is working for additional images but not for the main product images! Both mods are not new and they were working togaather so well up to now, I am so frusterated.

Someone please help, the website address is below :frusty:

The hover javascript is run exclusively in the catalog side of your site. Admin Profiles operates purely on the Admin side. There's no scope for overlap.

But I have installed image handler twice now and it does not seem to work again, please tell me what else could be wrong ?

Specially since the additional images do have the hover effect so what is wrong with the main product images ?

Working fine for me.
Remember that the main product image is the medium sized image and IH does not hover medium sized images.

As far as I can tell the jscript_imagehover.js is in the template_default/jscript folder

Any other ideas. I did go ahead and upload the file again, but there still no hover

Those are the files currently being called.
template /NAHID_ARTISTIC is NOT same as /template default..
and as stated before, file below is not being loaded

Never Mind I restored the entire site and it started working again :clap:

Working fine now.
You do have it set to hover only when the mouse is over "+" hot spot.

I installed Image Handler version 2 in Zen Cart 1.3.8A and the large and medium images are not being uploaded for the 2nd and addtional images.

I had installed a older verison of IH on another store with not problems.

The Image Handler install files with the minor changes I made are located at:

Yes, it is working now. the problem is with the instructions.
The instructions state that the jscript_imagehover.js is supposed to be in the template_default/jscript
However the hover didn't work until I moved it to my custom template jscript folder.

I am surprised after reading this forum that there is no FIX for IH2, pretty disappointing. I will remove this mod. It has been nothing but a big waste of my time and I see others have not fixed theirs yet.

Support here shows no FIX and my suggestion is do not download and waste your time. Read the forum and there is not FIX for IH2 and any Zen Cart version.

I am having the same issue. An example: base image called P892fv.jpg and additional image called P892fv_01.jpg. I can view them both in IH but the second image simply does not show up. I have been stuck on this for days so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am still yet to get this fixed. Please can someone help me out. I just don't understand why both images show in IH2 but it only shows the one image on my site.

After searching again - I found the fix - post 986 of this thread! Thanks Jettrue!!!!

A fix for what? User errors?
Most of the problems are user errors. Didn't upload all the files. Files uploaded in the wrong folder. Upload huge image files. Uploaded damaged files. Additional images not named correctly.
Are there bugs? Yes, but for most IH works just fine right out of the box.
Works great for me.

I can see your additional images just fine.
The hover works fine on them.
There is a problem with the large pop-up.
Did you up load this size of image for auto_01, auto_02 (width="1024" height="768)? What is the MB image size?
Is this the size you want to display cause your main product large image is only 733x550.
