Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

Hi,

I recently added a banner box and a PayPal Verified box and I lost my color background for my Images. I had it set for 204:204:204, but the background is all showing white. Anyone have any ideas what may be the problem. The problem only occured after I put the PayPal box on my site. Here are my file:

Hi - I'm posting in the hope that someone can help me. I've trawled through most of the pages on this thread and my head is now spinning :blink:

I'm running 1.3.8a with IH2. I've recently moved hosts and for various reasons am running with a new install (from JSWeb) and I had my database moved from old hosts to new install, and I copied the images from old host to new host.

On my previous install I did not originally have IH, so was working with 3 sizes of images, small, _MED & _LRG, until IH was installed on my previous site.

On my current site I am finding that the products which originally had _MED & _LRG images no longer have images which enlarge via IH as only a small image is in the main directory - so I am replacing the small image, in the main directory, with a larger one and this appears to be working....

BUT IH does not appear to be consistent in its handling of the resizing - especially the thumbnail image. Is there an optimum size for the original image or guide for sizing images which help me sort my problem? I'm really not sure whether it is my images, or my set-up.

I've put 2 products in a separate category to show what is happening:

well I figured out what the problem was. After I installed the 2 addons I changed the size of the Small Images because i wanted my images in my Featured sidebox to be smaller...thus causing this error. My follow up question is then, (and please let me know if i should be directing this question somewhere else):
My images in my Featured sidebox comes out of the box slightly and I would like to make them smaller. Any ideas? Should I uninstall the Paypal Verified logo, do the image changes and then install the Addon again?

First, thanks for posting your solution.
Many people post desperate appeals and then, when they find solution, don't post it, thus leaving in the dark users with similar issues.
So much for my altruistic vein.
Yours is a style problem, not related to IH2.
There is padding inside the left box container, which pushes your featured image to the right.
There are many solutions, depending on your taste:

1. make left column a little wider,
2. eliminate padding altogether (in your main CSS),
3. create a class or ID for div #featured, without padding
4. etc.
   If problems persist, check the style forum.

in both you need increase the value, that is the size for the zoom

I increased both to:
Product Info - Image Width 400
Product Info - Image Height 450

Images still show original small load with no larger image. When click on larger image, it opens very small box with details.

what about the original sizes of your images?
I don't know if IH can resize your image to do it more biggest than your original image...
try with the max size of your image

Go to IH large image maximum width and IH large image maximum height it's near the end in Images in your Admin panel.

Just change the size there when using Image Handler if i'm reading you right and you want the small sizes to be larger when using the hover mouse feature.

That will also change your medium size images when you click a small one.

Just use the large image from now on and let Image Handler do the rest but make sure Image - Use Proportional Images on Products and Categories is turned on as well as the resize images tab next to it.

I need some quick help with using a watermark on images. I made my watermark and put it in the /image, /medium, /large, folders with the appropriate suffixes (Med and Lrg) and the watermark is showing up on both the Med and Large images perfectly. However, IH is not watermarking my small product images, it's watermarking the additional images instead.

If anyone can help here that would great!

I've been looking for a solution for this for over a month now still cant find it.

Ive installed Image Handler 2 and Zen lightbox 1.35 and everything works fine except my product info images will not show up...or my watermark images.

When I installed the contribution - the popup stopped working ... in that no image shows when the popup appears.

Yes, all files have been installed correctly.

Second problem:
I went into the Manager for IH2 in the admin and tried to add a second image (the back view of the jacket) and I get the following error:

Unable to determine the page link!

How do I fix that since it won't let me upload additional images?

I don't know why the attibutes and the images sections are STILL a problem with both Osc and Zencart .... they are so anti-tutive. Other carts, you can upload additional images normally and you can add options easily.

I know I shouldn't complain - am just frustrated that we have been moving from x-cart (which has a great product loading setup) to zencart ... over 4000 products ... and can find no easy way to do the additional images since x-cart named them: d_5000.jpg, d_5001.jpg, d_5002.jpg ... Thusly, I'll have to rename all of them (if and when I can find the approprate ones) and pray they load correctly. Some products have upwards of 12+ additional images!

You don't have to rename anything: IH renames additional images for you.
Example: you load your main image named Zeke.jpg.
Always load default largest image, not medium, small etc.

But that's the problem ... these are imported, with x-cart's already altered file names as I referenced. These are already in zencart in the /images/ folder. We have to copy them into both medium and large folders and then rename them accordingly so we know which ones, while in IH manager, to grab. Right now, we can't tell the difference between d_2500.jpg and d_2501.jpg ... don't know if they are two different products or part of the same product.

There is no problem with them being in the images folder.
You don't need to copy them into medium and large folders, IH takes care of sizes for you, please don't do that.
Now, if you don't know which image goes with what product, I can't help you there, it's something that you will have to sort out.

If it's not there, IH will put everything there, in the root of the images folder.
The additional image is renamed and placed there, no matter where you took it from, it can even be a network location.
For the rest of the problem I'd rather defer to tophand, he's the expert on that kind of errors and will check your site if you post an appropriate URL.
Quick check: if you are certain that you uploaded all files, check permissions on folders, bmz_cache needs to be writeable (777).

Yes, I did the 777 when I uploaded that folder. But I'll double check.
