Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

This is covered in the readme BTW... Here is the LIKELY problem.. If your main product image and your additional images are not all the same filetype, then your additional product images WILL NOT DISPLAY. Image Handler DOES NOT KNOW the difference between a JPG or PNG file.. It merely uploads the files you select and re-names correctly them to follow Zen Carts rules for additional product images..** IF** your images are of all different filetypes (Main image is PNG and additional images are JPGs for example) then your additional product images WILL NOT WORK

All of my images are in jpg. format.

They are all already named properly as well because I originally had them all working (additional images to) without using IH2.

PI5038 (main image)
PI5038_01 (second image)

When I installed IH2 I removed all of my images from my server that I had originally uploaded so that I could upload them using IH2.

I uploaded my main image via IH2.

Then I clicked on (Click to add a new image to this product) to upload the additional image for my product.

It is showing under IH2 but not under the products more information page.

I also have ADMIN > CATALOG > PRODUCT TYPES ... Product - General (Click Edit Layout button), setting for: Show Product Additional Images

... is set to 1.

Do you have any other ideas as to why it would not be showing up?

A link to your site would be helpful so we're not all guessing here.. Especially since I am not exactly sure of what you mean by a "more information page". Additional images show on the product detail page in the Additional Images section..

If you click on GATHERED HALTER DRESS fourth from the top the "more information" page with be displayed.

I have uploaded the main image (white dress) along with two other images through IH2 (brown dress & pink dress) for this product. But the other two images are not showing.

for some of my own images this happened too and what I did was open them in photoshop then just do a "save as" to resave the image. For some odd reason the image got corrupted enough to mess with ih2.

after doing that they behaved like they should.

if your other products are supposed to have additional images then they do not show either.

question, did you make sure you put the IH2 files from includes/modules into the main modules folder or did you add them to a new folder named exactly like your template you are using?

you might try reuploading them again just in case something went wrong.

also in that same modules folder did you put the ones in the pages folder too?

Hi All,

After I changed my Small image (Width & Height) in Admin/Configuration/Images... The image Hover stops working on those images!!!
I need to make my small images a little bit larger and I still want the hover to work.

How can I do that?
Has anyone figured this one out yet?

It is not a lightbox or a slideshow module. (Which seems to be what you are looking for) Please look in the free downloads to see if you can find what you want there.. If you have an additional question son this subject, you should start a separate thread in the forum to get opinions/information from the community.. HTH..

I work with image Handler from more than 1 year, and im installed it over 10 times, whithout problems. But now i Have a Big problem and cant find solution.

I installed Image Handler on my new store, everyting with instalation is ok. I upload one test product, i see its 3 size images in control panel at IH manager. The problem is in catalog. Images are not showing, only small image work but when i check its links there are this linkfor Large image: /images/large/Shema_Primer_LRG.jpg which is not IH image link. For small images i see this /images/Shema_Primer.jpg.
I think it have to be somethink like this: /bmz_cache/8/8a1685b8a46b7a497cf6af9ad8b8b620.image.65x80.jpg
So i think that the link wich is for IH Image is lost somewhere.
I`m installed before only the module for Additional images only.

I have a new install of Zen Cart 1.3.8. I installed image handler 2 and it said it installed successfully. When I go to manage images I get this error all over the place:

Any help is appreciated. It seems this add-on is the best one to manage multiple images in a browser.

Ok disregard my post #4966... I was able to get rid of that error message by playing around with the permissions. However now I get this error when I try to upload more than 1 image at a time:

I have 3 additional images for this product and none of them are showing.

Go all the way to the bottom of the page and move the mouse over the item, and the zoom actually shows up but on top of page and its hard to see.

Can any1 tell me how I can fix this

Thank you for the reply. I did that. I don't get the error message if I only upload 2 images. However the 2nd image doesn't fully upload. And none of the additional images show on the front end. The 2nd image becomes the medium version of the first image selected to upload.

If I upload 3 images I still get this error:

Like some others here, I'm not able to get a watermark to show on my images. In configuration->images, I have "IH watermark large images" set to "yes" (I only want the watermark on my large images). And, I have a file images/large/watermark_LRG.png.

Any idea what I might be doing wrong? Thanks.

before going further on your new installation try upgrading to 1.3.9 while you have not much installed...will be easier now than later
